They're talking about the Kardashian family and Honey Boo Boo in another thread and I'm lost. Or not!     I don't own a television, do you? I figured the poll only needed the yes/no options, but I left it so you can change your vote. You know, in case you throw the thing out the window someday!

I don't have or miss a TV. I heard of the Karshian show and had a pic of Kim in my room for a time. I never heard of Honey Boo Boo before yesterday.

Yes, I have three, the big one in the living room and then another in my room and then another in a guest room. The third bedroom had one but I gave it to someone who's tv died on them.

I watch various stuff, but not the kardashians or honey boo boo.  I like movies, science stuff and some "reality" shows like gold rush, fast 'n loud and bar rescue. I have one of my brother's directv receivers so it doesn't cost me anything but the power to run the stuff, lol.

I own a television but I only use it for DVD's and my older than dirt PS2. When most people talk about the latest moronic TV craze, I have no idea what they are talking about. Then once I look it up online, I just roll my eyes at it. Plus, cable TV is so insanely expensive and there are so many channels and/or programs that flat out suck. Why people waste their money on that crap is a mystery to me. But I DO enjoy a handful of TV programs (That I purchase on DVD since they are all older shows). But I also despise "reality" television.

I have a t.v., but I mostly use it for playing my PS3.  It's too much of a hassle to switch to the tv cords and back so I just leave my gaming cords in.  If I do switch to to my t.v. cords, the only shows I watch deal with MMA, Boxing, Surfing, Skateboarding, or I watch Hardcore Pawn.

I'm trying to sell it. I use it to watch NCIS on Tuesdays, Hawaii Five-0 on Fridays,  and occasionally sports. That's it. It was a waste of $400. I put it up on Craigslist, but got no reply.

I own a television, but don't have television service. For years, we used it only for videos. Now we have Netflix. Do I miss traditional broadcast TV? Not. At. All.

Two, actually. :D
One in the living room for gaming and another in the bedroom for tv programs because the living room tv doesn't cooperate with the digibox.

I have one and I still watch several programs.

But a TV is not required to watch 'TV'. I own a large TV, but vegetating in front of it makes me depressed. Instead, I 'instantiate' a TV on any of the PC devices I own and watch Tivo programming with Slingplayer, be it in the bath, in bed or on my work PC whilst I work. I never watch anything live.

I have a TV I use it for my PS3 and Xbox 360. mostly watch netflix on it and when I watch TV its sports or something on History channel, Discovery Channel, or Animal Planet. I can not stand what is shown on the networks now unless its football, baseball, hockey, or auto racing.

I have a TV but I don't have cable service.  I pick up everything from the net instead.
My biggest guilty TV pleasure is watching anime on CrunchyRoll and old SciFi shows on Amazon and Hulu.

We have many... they mostly play the kids' shows.

I don't use what I have now. I use netflix on the computer for things like MLP

I didn't have a TV at home for about 10 years, but recently I purchased one for my little daughter, because she was so much indulged in watching TV in restaurant or other people's house. Interestingly, she does not like watching the TV at home so much. I think it is because we did not keep TV when she was born.

Recently I went to the studio of local TV station for discussing an issue here, but never watched the broadcast program. Instead, some of my friends called me to say hello after watching me in TV news. When my name and photo appear in newspaper, very few people called me. I was surprised that so many people watch such a boring TV program, instead of reading newspaper.

barbie~~
Just do it.

Damn, I've got 3 (2 I don't use much at all) and almost never watch broadcast.  I watch sports, music, Netflix and a couple of sitcoms that haven't quite jumped the shark yet on TiVo.

Honey Boo Boo?  Really? *barf*  Same with those Kardashian people.  I still don't know nor care which one's which or why on earth they're famous and worthy of our attention. I mean, who could waste perfectly good valuable time on that junk?

Americans ARE generally vapid idiots and this is the proof.

I have one connected to my laptop, but I only watch what I want to watch, not what's shown to me. I have Netflix but half the time I find other sources on the internet. Their selection isn't always the best.. >_>

That is the point. In my opinion, it shows whom THINKS about what they are watching versus people that use television as an electronic sedative.
