As some other brave ladies have done, I've purchased a professional electrolysis unit ( blend and/or just galv ). I'm only planning to use the galvanic part of it.
While I've been the victim of electrolysis on my face for quite some time, I'd like to clear my own legs at a slow pace, and some stubborn arm hairs, as well as finishing off my own face. I'm certainly untrained, but understand the idea, basics of the reaction, and the biology of the hairs.
To be clear, I won't be doing any on my face until I'm far more skilled... The last thing I want to do is scar or burn myself. But finishing my own face is the eventual goal. So today I did about 10 hairs in random spots on my thigh. Both to find out what intensity I can tolerate, and to somewhat train using it

. Before doing the 10 real hairs, I did many insertions into hairs too. It was tricky to start with, but I've started to pick it up.
The 10 I did look ok... A mosquito bite like bump is left behind, with the lye visible where the hair was. Some came out with the sheath and follicle, and some didn't. It might be that I didn't give some enough time, but my skin has always been a bit annoying, with tiny holes ( professionals always have trouble getting follicles out from my face with the hair, just due to small holes and large follicles ).
I guess I don't know what the point of this post is... Maybe just seeking advice or comments on this crazy and painful DIY activity. This machine and I will have a long relationship lol.
