Increased Subcutaneous Fat on HRT?

Hello all, I've recently lost a tonne of weight and am now down to 170 (from a high of 351). Whilst I've also lost a lot of muscle I have, of course, lost a lot of fat which leaves me with slender but wiry arms and prominent veins which are not very attractive at all. I'm wondering if HRT will cause an increase in subcutaneous fat that will leave my arms (and hands) looking more rounded and less veiny.

I also understand people tend to lose weight when they start hormones. Is this the case?

Congrats on the weight loss, that's a great effort. HRT, specifically E hormones, will soften you up, but it will take a few months.

Congrats on the weight loss! The reason some people seem to lose weight on HRT is because they lose muscle mass and gain fat. The fat weighs less than the muscle so it appears that they lost weight. In fact, they have gained a higher percentage of fat, which is normal for women. Also, HRT, at least for me, has made my veins a little less prominent. I don't know why though.
