Can you recommend a surgeon for top surgery revision?

Hi, there.  I am sorry to hear that you aren't happy with your results.  Charles Garramone, in FL, told me that 20% of his surgeries are revisions from other surgeons.

I would go to Garramone, but only if I had had a DI (unless you are borderline on the peri, sometimes guys really need a DI and are given a peri, and the results won't look that great).

I'd be interested in advice on this myself. My top surgery went perfectly, but wasn't planned for anything other than removal of breast tissue. I got attacked while I was healing and that left some weirdness, too. I'm considering paying out of pocket to rearrange my chest a little if I can find a surgeon with enough experience. I might would be willing to pay Garramone-league prices, but only if he or someone equally qualified had an office in a blue state.

Well I found Fort Lauderdale Florida very trans friendly. I think pretty much it's a blue state there. Going from here in NM that's saying something I suppose. There's a guy in Washington or Oregon, I could find his name if you are interested. He's not as well known, and don't know that he'd be cheaper. He did a rather complex job I saw that looked good.

I don't think Garramone is expensive as top surgery goes but he is likely to charge you full price, I think. (Depending, unless it's not too complicated.)

Yeah, I'm not sure where this idea that Garramone is expensive came from.  He is actually more the mid-low end of cost, with the whole kit 'n caboodle costing $6,900.  I haven't read/heard of any top surgeon's services, plus hospital fees, etc., being below $7,000, but I certainly could be wrong.

I suppose some plastic surgeons who don't specialize in top surgery may have lower prices (since it isn't their specialty), but I don't even recall ever reading/hearing that.

Felix, the main thing I would suggest is if you are seeking revision, go to a person who specializes in gender reassignment surgeries, not just a plastic surgeon who has only done a handful of top surgeries.  It seems to me a revision could/would be more complicated than working from a clean canvas, so to speak.

Me neither. I think the local guy who has fraction of the top surgeries would be a bit cheaper but you do kind of get what you pay for. There are quite a few who are higher, I'm guessing east or west coast, where prices are just higher in general.

I've  heard of many surgeons who charge less than $7,000 for a double bilateral mastectomy with free nipple grafts. In fact, I'd say only a handful of surgeons charge more than $7,000 (usually for peri/keyhole/nipple sparing techniques).
My total fee was $6,479, all inclusive (surgeon fee, facility fee, anesthesia fee, post-op fees, and revision- should the need arise). I went to Dr. Rockmore in Albany.

The $6,900 was for everything (just like your $6,479).  I have plans for a revision (I want some fat on the sides removed), and he confirmed with me on the phone that it would be free.
