Joe has a thread of 'How to ask a girl out'

Nicole posted a nice line that worked on her for a date which set me thinking. What has worked?

I'll post one.

I was working out in the gym and struggling to load a machine with weights, (arms have gone, legs are good)

A guy came over and loaded my weights, after I finished the reps he unloaded the machine for me.

He then said, 'You need dinner after all of that, I'll be at XXX at 7.30 to buy you dinner'

I was there.

Come on, any other good pick ups?

I find the best lines take a little brain use. I've had a few really bad ones, sometimes I'll finish them for them.

The one I posted was this "The best way I've been asked out I was out one night, lining up for a drink, this guy, not that hot, but funny & sort of cute started talking to me he somehow found our the drink I was planing to order, thou not that hard to know. Anyway I went to order and he pushed in. I thought you rude prick. He got his drinks, gave me a drink, said here's my number, you know owe me a date. "

Some of my friends are very quick witted, as much as us girls love a hot body, if a guy can make me laugh within the first 30 seconds they're half way there.
Yes! I'm single
And you'll have to be pretty f'ing amazing to change that

The best pickup line I ever heard anyone use was uttered by a friend of mine back in college.

He was with a group of friends at the college bar one evening.  A lengthy & very boring debate over the fine details of something not very important began between a few oversized egos.  When he had got more than a bit fed up with this, he turned to the girl sitting net to him & randomly asked:

"So.  How would feel about a night of mad, passionate sex ?"

The last time I met him was 6 years later.  They were still together.

(His thick, County Down accent may have helped - think of a softer version of Billy Connolly's accent.)
