Hey, nice review :) You say the reelmagik is soft and also mentioned you have a sailor packer. Which one would you say is softer and by how much?

I don't have a sailor.  However, for what it is worth, the RM is the most realistic that I have had.  But, it is just too heavy for my liking and the balls are too big in terms of physical comfort/the packer is too long.  I have always used a Mr. Limpy and was satisfied with it, but I wanted something more realistic.  If the RM had the same length of shaft (3.5) as the Mr. Limpy, and especially the same size balls/same weight, I would be thrilled!  I wore the RM for awhile, just to make sure it wasn't about me just being so used to Mr. Limpy that I couldn't make the switch, but I decided RM was just a "no go" for me.  I went back to Mr. Limpy yesterday.   :(

The rm is way softer than the sailor. Its squishy like a marshmallow. But for me that's good because whenever is sit down and my pants or shorts would bunch up or even if they weren't sagged enough, the sailor would poke through like I had a boner.

Its not heavy in my opinion nor do the balls bother me. It closely resembles the sailor, so if you've packed with that it should be no problem to transition to the rm. If it was shorter I'm sure it'd have the same problems as all the other packers under the rm length, which is the boner problem unless you wear something really tight. I've packed with the 3.5 mr limpy, though its a realistic size, the balls aren't 3D and it doesn't lay flat.

I have a RM packer and did a review. Kind of a moot point right now as I really can't wear any packer or prosthetic (though I have a nice prosthetic). Anyway, you could probably search susan's and find my review. I think the RM basic packer is pretty nice. It to me is pretty realistic, though I think the balls are too long really, but that's the design so that packer sits inside the balls, which means it won't stick out. Its softer than a Sailor esp the sailor has the core, which I really like about the sailor actually. (Not sure the silicone in RM, I'm not sure what grade. It has a little smell, nothing overpowering, but more so than a prosthetic I have. There are 2-3 layers, so maybe one of them is not medical grade.

The thing that bothers me about RM is the weight, at nearly a pound. I used basically a sock to pack with. I think the weight is such that the best harness would be a jock strap. That would hold it nicely, I think. I think it is worth the price, but if you put in a regular harness I think you might decapitate it. I'm not saying guys don't do it, but it looks like it could be a problem. Mine shows wear right along the shaft where it connects to the balls. But it still is nicely made. BTW, I had a python (or another made by the same folks like viper?) anyway, I think they are just cheap, and not 100% silicone. I don't know maybe silicone foam or something. I gave mine away and never wore it. I really wouldn't recommend the company.

(BTW, I had communication with RM, I thought they were pretty good, mine took a LONG time to get to me due to the fact that I got mine from the first batch I think. I think that RM is a class act company.)

That's good to know! I always felt like the sailor was a bit too hard for me :)

I think maybe it might be the way you pack. I've heard a lot about people saying things about the weight. So far I have not had a problem. Though I use a waistband with a slit cut in it. I'm thinking that probably holds better than the sock. With the sailor I had tried just sticking it in my boxer briefs, just for fun and noticed it was too heavy. But it never seemed too heavy in my "harness". One of the reviews I seen the guy said he had a dent in his balls but it wasn't too bad. I think maybe an o ring harness might damage it.
And I feel the same, the material and feel are odd.

Yeah, though it's a moot point right now since I can't seem to wear ANY packer or prosthetic. I think the something like a jock strap might be ideal. Not sure I understand what type of harness you have, but I agree that the o-ring type would damage it (and also the sailor), but for different reasons. I think the Sailor has some design problems. I think the core is cool idea but maybe doesn't work so well.

Hey Jay,

I noticed you mentioned in several posts that you cannot wear your prosthetic. Do you mind me asking which prosthetic you have? What do you like about it.. Etc.

The reason i can't wear them is due to infections. i have had repeated. i have given away pretty much all of them but I do still use them (like to bed-- I put a layer of cloth between it and me, not entirely satisfactory but oh well).

I got the prosthetic from a local guy. He has a website. I am a little worried that he might not be ready for a whole bunch of inquiries. I am pretty happy with it and it has some nice features. If anyone is interested they can PM me.
