As the title says...kinda awkward....but when should I even consider getting a bra?
I'm 1 and 3/4ths months in to taking hormones and my chest is kinda sore but they haven't shown any "implicitly clear" physical indications of solid growth...But what should I take as clear indications to get a bra of equivalent size? or is it one of those things that I just "know" at that time?

Sorry if this is the wrong place...seemed right at the time if not now too...

Usually when they start banging against random inanimate objects we sort of decide a padded bra is needed for protection!

I have actualy found that wairing a cammi, or sports bra even though i dont "need" them really helps keep fabric from rubbing against the nipples. that hurts given enough time.

Not as long as you think.

Padded bra is good for protection when at home.
Mine are quite sore and the bra really helps the random bumps.

And for those of us that insist on impaling the car door on then as you close it, bras with Kevlar cones to mitigate physical damage.    ;D   :o  >:(

And to save you wasting time and money buying rubbish ones on the Internet, find a local lingerie shop that will do a professional fitting for you. You might as well learn how to buy clothes in person. You'll be buying them for a long time to come.

When you feel it is time.  Looking at cis-gendered wthere are valid reasons to start now. There are also reasons to wait.   Do what feels right to you.  The professional fitting is a wonderful idea.

hi xeno, i am pre-hrt but when it comes to wearing a bra, i say go for it! even if you don't have anything there yet to put in them, you will shortly... might as well get used to them. start with a training bra just like teenage girls do.
many tgs here will tell you how after a while the thrill of wearing one will pass as you have to wear one everyday but that is the price of womanhood. i may be a minority but i have not gotten tired of wearing one. still as exciting as the first time.

It's all a matter of when you want to. I started wearing bras well before I needed to. I don't wear bras all that much anymore simply because they're uncomfortable to wear, and my breasts are certainly big enough to justify wearing one. If wearing a bra makes you feel good, go for it! If you don't want to wear one, that's great too!

I'm pretty sure that I kinda know already, but if I do start looking for a bra(or number of bras) online, what sizing should I get? I mean training bras seem to be only for preteen girls. Or what should I look for, if anything?

I meant rib-cage wise, I feel that even though I'm fairly thin, I'd still not fit into ones of that size, even in size L
