I don't dream much.  However when I do, I have never been "myself", nor am I sure if I'm male or female.
Also, the people and places in my dreams, are people I don't know.

I sometimes wonder if being Legally blind plays a part in that, but also Gender identity.

What about everyone else.

It's possible both those issues could affect your dreams. I used to dream like that in my teens and 20's. I never knew the people in my dreams . I was mostly just an observer. I use to have a lot of dreams where my sexuality was quite ambiguous . Now my dreams are mostly just replays of my daily experiences. I don't know , but I have a slight visual impairment that has come out in my dreams so it's possible.

That is a good topic , I found myself asking the same questions , sometimes I dream like a 'boy ' . Basically not like a boy , but like me , and because I lived and identified myself as a boy , now I get in the dreams the same sensations and I wake up totally panicked .
I don't have much going on right now as social life and stuff so in my dreams I appear in the same manner I was in high school , many many years ago , all the people and events  I dream are from that era and I feel their point of view and pressure towards me and also my point of view which was relative ok with being me (I don't know if as a boy or just 'me'). It really bothers me as I loose the peace of mind and I struggle even more , I feel like I will never be fully peaceful as a woman .

My dreams are ussually kind of weird. One of the best things is I normally can fly in my dreams though! A lot of times in my dreams I am myself but I try to change my looks by focusing some times it works, other times it doesn't and I get so upset.

When I dream, I'm usually myself only further along in my transition (I.e. maybe a couple years on hormones) or i dream as myself in a gender-neutral state. My dreams usually involve having conversations or meeting people I admire (artists, musicians, etc.) every now and then i'll have a death dream where I die peacefully (these kinds of dreams are very eye opening) or my partner dies (those dreams are the WORST, i wake up frantically). On most occasions though, i have dreams about things I miss.. Lately i've been having a lot of dreams that me and my ex-best friend that i've known since middle school (about 11 years) are just having a regular hang out day like the old days... this probably has something to do with the fact that since i came out to him, he has abandoned me (he's heavily transphobic) and I guess I miss his company... despite his ignorance i still care about him and wish he would open his eyes and see logic... my favorite dreams are zombie apocalypse ones because they show that i'm more resilient than i believe i am lol

that's really a bummer have that long a friend say good bye over a trans thing.  I also like the zombie apocalypse  dreams or the earth destruction ones or the massive alien invasion ones.

I've never really thought about it, but generally when I dream I don't necessarily gender myself. I'm just "me" in my dreams I guess. I don't dream very often, but when I do they're usually uncomfortable, almost nightmares I suppose. Usually I dream that my family has somehow found out about me being transsexual and they won't accept it. However, I had a dream last week where I came out to my family and they were accepting and supportive. That's the first time I've ever had a dream like that. It was nice :)

But then I woke up :(

I don't usually dream, or if I do, they are usually pretty crazy. My dreams are usually nightmares. The last one I remember having was from Thursday. I had my first therapy session that day. In my dream, the therapist was at my house and called the insane asylum on me lol. That was pretty scary. I sometimes have dreams about dressing as a female, sometimes getting caught doing that. I sometimes have dreams about tornadoes coming and hitting my house. I have zombie/undead dreams quite a bit, those terrify me. I have "Cujo" dreams (big bad ass rabid dog movie). Sometimes I have alien dreams, those might be the scariest. I dream about people I know too.

I also get deja vu feelings quite often. Occasionally, I'll be doing something randomly, and I swear I feel like I've been there before like in a dream or something. When that happens I get quite paranoid, thinking ok, why does this seem so familiar, why do I remember this, was I here before, etc. I always try to remember why I feel this way, and I just get really scared and turn on my guard.

I wouldn't freak out about deja vu dreams . I'm finding out they happen quite a lot to a lot of people. My therapist has them all the time . I've had them for a long time

Mine always comes with a bad, creepy feeling, like something terrible is about to happen.

I finally had a dream today, and I was female.
I'm happy!

Before starting HRT I think I never had a dream where I was a female...but I am not sure if I was a male either. I think I cannot remember very well because on most of my dreams I am on "first person" and I am just me.

But not so long ago I had a dream where I was a female...this time I was on "third person", but I was on some kind of alien planet and I was blonde and with a very sexy slim body...I was wearing strange futuristic clothes....and I think I had a dog on a space suit close to me.

And then I had another this week, this time I was a normal looking girl, but I only realized that when I noticed something missing between my legs...I tried to reach my genitals and I had no male genitalia anymore! It was a very pleasant dream to say the least!

I am female in my dreams most of the time, at least when it's a dream about me. Usually it is in a sort of high anxiety situation where I'm around a lot of people and I'm afraid they're going to find out about me. People are treating me normally, but I'm frozen or afraid and can't understand why they aren't abusing me.

An ex girlfriend of mine was totally blind from birth (totally incapable of perceiving any light), and was always herself in her dreams, so I'm don't think your legal blindness has anything to do with it.

I've had tons of dreams where I'm not myself. I've had many where I was female, and I remember them very well each time because I remember how great it felt to be in that dream and how great it felt to not be in my body anymore. So I'd imagine from that and the responses of others, it's probably a transgender thing.
"When I think of all the worries people seem to find
And how they're in a hurry to complicate their mind
By chasing after money and dreams that can't come true
I'm glad that we are different, we've better things to do
May others plan their future, I'm busy lovin' you "

Only once did I have a dream where i was a woman. Not a cis woman though. I ws i the mall with two friends and all the sudden realized I had gotten SRS. I could feel it not being there and was wearing tight pants. My friends didn't know and were looking at me strange. Apparently, I was quite popular or had a group of friends but then I left the mall and walked out and was in the mountains and I woke up. I tried all day to get back into the dream to no avail. Lately, I dream about transition and I'm usually trans in my dreams but nothing ever about the thing. I don't dream anymore and when i do they occur in this weird place with strange colors. I havent been sleeping well cause I broke up with the boy who I will see tomorrow and we are supposed to talk and he has some surprise for me and says the cat misses me and won't go to bed anymore. The last time I saw him he had court and they offered him a couple months probation but wanted to take his license for a year and he needs it. I stayed up all night writing him a letter and my reward was being kicked out. But we also spent every second of every day together since Chritsmas up until last week, which may not be healthy. Maybe this is all some bad dream. Sorry for the tangent it's the only thing I think about lately.

BTW, most of my dreams in my life have involved malls and me trying to shop in the woman's section but it is always closed off or hidden and I never shop and when I do, I wake up a soon as I go to try something on. It used to piss me off. But now, salesladies offer to help me shop so maybe this dream isn't so bad after alll.
