So apparently I look like Eric, the Phantom of the Opera.  I wonder how he would look as a trans woman??

I'm pretty certain my almost 4-year-old nephew thinks I'm a girl, which explains why my brother is so mad at me. My nephew is all into the Might Morhpin Power Rangers, yeah they're baaack, and he always wants to play with me except when we play power rangers I am only allowed to be the Yellow one, who is a woman. One day he put something in my hair and said "you look like a girl." I thought thanks, guess. The plan was to go all the way, but then he did the same thing to my sister-in-law and said "you look like a girl." So, there ya go. Kids are great.

I updated my avatar with my scarf. ^.^

I don't think I look like him either but it still stings.  Thank you so much Emily!

I'm sooooo hoping for that sort of thing to happen to me one day!  Kids don't sugar coat anything but I love them so flippin much! :D

Based on your current avatar I think you can do the same facial expression. The similarities pretty much end there. I could probably see you as his daughter though.

Kids will just speak their minds about their observations. Sometimes it does sting, but they never intend it to. I do think often their observations can be humorous. Reminds me of a few years back when a parent told me a story of her young daughter tugging her by the hand and pointing my way while exclaiming "Mom, mom! Look, it's Jesus!"

Jesus?? That's hilarious!!

I'm trying soooo hard not to be self conscious and comments like this really help. Thanks so much!

Yeah, I still get kicks out of that one. Although, looking back at my pictures from then, I can kinda see where she was coming from:
