Keira Rosa

Hello all!

I recently made the attempt to create an account here after meeting people on this forum. Looking forward to finding out things and hopefully share my experience with those who want to know

My name is Keira (someday). I'm 22 years old and currently just beginning my transition.

Quick history: I realized I was different at around 9 years old and at 13 I knew I wanted to be a girl. I kept pushing these feelings away thinking they would just die. As the years went on they kept getting stronger and I set the plan in motion to transition. I wanted to feel economically ready and be almost done my degree but the time I started. And i guess that time is now.

Glad to be part of this community and hopefully I can help out someone in my shoes in the future :)

A big warm welcome to the family! I just absolutely love your name by the way. This is such a great and special place. It really is full of caring and compassionate individuals. All of us want to see each other succeed and be happy in their goals. It is so good to have you join us here and be ready to carry on the tradition of support. I went full time January 1st and feel great that my real name will be on my diploma when I graduate. Here is a BIG HUG ( :icon_hug:) to welcome you and wish you the best on your transition! :)

Bienvenidos, Keira!   :)

Some of our members have that "a ha!" moment when they are young.  Others, like me, sensed something was different around the time of puberty.  Some later.  Everyone is different.

I can remember living near the beach, and watching the older girls, when I was maybe 11 or 12 years old.  The feeling wasn't the growing sexual attraction with the female form, it was more like wanting the female form.

Hi Keira, welcome to the community!

The part I quoted sort of resonates with me.  You are young and can have a really successful transition.  For me being "economically ready" sort of ended up being ready to retire...  It is great that you have had things come together so that you can live most of your life being the real you.

Go for it!
