My boyf is a piercer and has spoken to me about pierced nipples. Womens nipples through the front rather than the back so he said if you are transitioning, it would be best to wait until the nipple has developed. I can ask him more specific questions if you have them?

starting hrt in 2 weeks and I have had my nipples pierced for years. Wondering how that will effect things

I am guessing that, as piercings in that area can drift anyway, that could be a factor. Also, as a new piercing after your breasts have formed would be through the front, then you are better removing them and having them re-pierced after breast development has fully taken place. He will be hear in a bit though so I will ask him.

I've been on HRT for over 2 months and have had pierced nipples for about 5 years. I asked my HRT doctor and she said that she has had HRT patients before with them and never a problem, just extra sensitive at times. So far I have't had an issue and my nipple are starting to pop out now. The one on my right side is a little deeper than the left. I've had to change it to a slightly longer barbel as I have curved barbels and then nipples seem to almost pull them in. There are times were they can be painfully sensitive, but that only last for 12-24 hours.

I was told to hold off on nipple piercings until they stopped growing and definitely not until implants happen.  Two problems, migration and symmetry.
