I take hormone supplements from a herb store but I got put on bond and was wondering if most supplements would or wouldn't show up on a drug test. I've never had a drug related problems but its standard to be put on testing. I take supplements called test-stack and t-male(not at same time), I know t-male doesn't show up but i'd like to know if test stack does cause i'm switching back to it. Thanks

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the drugs they will be testing for are the illegal sort, more like pot and harder drugs. You might want to ask or look and see if those tests will register performance enhancing drugs. Unless there is something in the supplements that would cause a false positive, like poppy seeds, I very much doubt the supplements will effect your T levels to register out of "normal range" for the gender they have you on file as since those supplements are mainly aimed at male bodied folks. I'd check out a bodybuilding forum or google if the supplement in question would show/affect a drug test. The definite answer might be there.

Depends on what you're being tested for. If its for a job then they test for illegal substances. They have to run different panels for other drugs such as steroids even and those get to be expensive so even police (2 of my neighbors are cops) don't test for those. Also, if you're taking legal supplements then you have nothing to worry about anyways because you're legally doing nothing wrong.

Now... if you're an athlete like me and subject to random drug testing thats an different matter entirely. They will test for performance enhancing substances and many legal over the counter items are banned. This type of test is only done for athletes at certain levels and if you're being tested for those you get this all explained to you so my guess is this is not the case for you. Any substances on the World Anti Doping Agency banned substances list are prohibited as per their guidelines and your country may have even stricter guidelines as well. Many professional sports don't even adhere to the WADA prohibited list as they are free to make their own exceptions as they see fit (NFL, NBA, NHL, etc) such as allowing cold and allergy medicines.

Okay thanks for the info I just wanted to make sure they wouldn't show up or anything and the supplements are actually helping not significantly but somewhat (after taking them for so long that is)

OTC Supplements are very poorly regulated. I recommend against their use. I thought they were helping for a while when I was pre-T, but it turned out my voice was hoarse and deepening to another (somewhat serious) condition that I probably would have discovered sooner if I hadn't blamed it on the supplements initially.

Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.

Hey, overdrive.  I have been curious as to what your sport is since you first posted about it?  Are you comfortable sharing with us?  Also, are you on T?  If so, are you playing as male?

Because I'm in the spotlight so to speak, I'd rather not say which sport I compete in. I am on T though. Testosterone being a banned substance by the WADA, I had to jump through a few hoops by getting letters from doctors and psychologist, submitting paperwork to the WADA and waiting for them to approve the usage including what upper levels would be allowed for me personally.

I respect you can't speak on your work.  So, am I understanding you correctly to say that you are able to compete as female as long as your T levels are within a certain approved range?  Interesting stuff.

Basically yes, but there is a little more to it and a lot of work to get this approved with a lot of appeals to go through. International competitions have specific guidelines regarding transgender people and if they can compete as male or female in competition.

Makes sense.  Really interesting stuff.  I think your emotional need to be on hormones even in the face of such hassles really points to how inherent gender is and how hard it is to function without being who we are.  Good luck with your career!
