The 83-year-old televangelist sat down on Sunday for the "Bring It Online" advice portion of his [. . .] show, [and a viewer] wrote in asking how he should refer to two transgender females who work in his office [. . .]

"I think there are men who are in a woman's body," he said. "It's very rare. But it's true [. . .] I don't think there's any sin associated with that. I don't condemn somebody for doing that."

He went on to say he would "question the validity" of someone who just says, "Well I'm really a woman" because you "don't count somebody as female unless they really are, or male unless they really are."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think we should all be patting him on the back for saying "it's not a sin" given the rest of the statement and other statements he's made in the past.

Wow, talk about a merry-go-round, forked tounge, two side of the mouth and all the other descriptions that could be used about his comments.

"I think there are men who are in a woman's body," he said. "It's very rare. But it's true [. . .] I don't think there's any sin associated with that. I don't condemn somebody for doing that."

What about women in men's body, Mr. Robertson?

"He went on to say he would "question the validity" of someone who just says, "Well I'm really a woman" because you "don't count somebody as female unless they really are, or male unless they really are."

Funny how the the female question of validity comes first on this comment and kind of seems like an afterthought when he mentions male.

Well it is good that our brothers are getting at least some acknowledgement from this uber religious guru, even though it seems that us MTF might have pulled them down a notch on his last comment. Sometimes I wonder if we will ever be accepted being MTF.

Well at least one ray of sunshine I can glean from this nonsense is that there's no sin associated with it. Whoopee. Hooray.

As though I had a choice in my conception and development. This then lends the argument to someone/thing else did. I'm not that clever that I can reproduce/make another me.

This then proffers the question. Whoever did make me as I am, did they do the sinning? As sin appears to be a major platform these people appear to hang off. Hummmmm

Fondest regards
Catherine

I sure hope folks someday realize we were born in the womb like this because thats how God wanted to do it with us so we would go to Him and rely on Him.  It cant happen unless its supposed to.  Yeeeshh.
Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the red pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the little blue pills - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes

Sh'e took the little blue ones.

Robert patterson is a nut and he contradicts himself all the time. But I hope he means what he says.

I don't care about what he has to say. He will always be a fool in my eyes.

I agree. Though he does have one advantage we don't: Many in the religious right will actually listen to him, and while by no means perfect, at least he is changing some of what he says.

I find it good that some people who otherewise may discriminate won't because he said this, but.... This guy is still basically pure evil from my point of view.

When I hear him say things like this, I can only reach one conclusion: The dude is getting old, he knows that his hourglass is running out of sand. So, of course he's going to say this crap in an effort to "repent" for any horrible things that he may have said/done or thought. When people pull that card, I can't help but roll my eyes and think: "Pffft! Yeah, right!"

If there is an afterlife/heaven/hell, etc. He and his disgusting ilk will be in for a rude awakening.

Not only that Laura but it could be. People's views are changing and people are becoming more and more comfortable with the LGBT people and talking like we are Satan's Spawn is probably starting to hit him and those like him where it hurts. Their bank accounts. I mean really now days, who doesn't know or work with at least one person that is gay or lesbian? Yes we trans are still in the shadows more or less but people are seeing the LGBT community isn't a bunch of sexual deviants, wierdos, freaks and so on but rather just normal people trying to live their lives to the best of their abilities. I think that the LGBT's have overwhelmed them and people just don't believe all the rhetoric anymore and those that use to give ain't giving so much anymore. I think that people are starting to ask if they lied about us what else have they lied about.

Seems like positive change would occur at a quicker pace if there were some warm greetings when one comes to your side. Even partially, regardless of age, I say show a little love yo.  :)  :-*  :)
