A Facebook friend posted this discussion between Eli Strong and Jaan Williams.  Eli may be a familiar name as his transition story was featured on a National Geographic documentary and he is the current head of DCATS (D.C. Area Transmasculine Society).  Jaan (pronounced like John) was listed on the 2013 Trans100 and is currently the Director of Domestic Programs at the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund.  He was also my favorite of the trainers in the 2012 Maryland Trans* Leadership Academy.

This discussion deals with the concept of passing.  It is not specifically for transmen, but it is from a transman perspective, which is why I'm putting it here.  It is also a very thoughtful piece that talks about numerous aspects of the issue like passing as a privilege linked to having access to healthcare and the tension between the idea of passing as something that one is not versus being safe or being seen as one wishes.

WARNING:
This is lengthy (about an hour).
