A lot of you know I'm working on an old house in a little town named Hancock in Northern Michigan. It's not the kind of thing an old lady should be doing because I've had some pretty bad injuries since starting this stupid project.  But I'm stopping work here soon and returning to California to get the formal approved for surgery through my medical provider.  And I also have to do the electrolysis that's required by Dr. Toby Meltzer.  If all goes well I expect to be living here post op next winter, and I damn well hope to finish this house within a year or two.

Even though we're separated, JoAnn and I also agreed to work on this place together over the next two years if it takes that long.  I should have two bedrooms done soon, then we can move our stuff in during a short trip in May.  Yes, she is spending a vacation here with me, and it's going to be pretty tense.

I've added a couple videos, but excuse my really bad voice.  It was a long day.

Take care of yourself Kathy! No more injuries except for the one your surgeon is going to do! Lol. I hope everything goes well and you are back up on your feet quickly! Let us know how everything goes! :)

Kathy i would have to say yes on getting your SRS done. Not to say something would our could happen that would make the doctors not want to do the surgery due to some type of injury.

One of my sisters was all but ready for hers and got disqualified for hers due to a major back injury due to her age (UK funding).

Please take it easy and work on working on your GRS for sure. 4 walls and a roof will be there after.

Yup. Back injury is one of my ongoing problems.  Also have a badly pulled or torn muscle below my left elbow, a smashed toe, and possible broken finger.  Along with a lot of cuts, bruises, and scrapes it's all happened in six weeks.

I love that house - lots of potential!  8)

Don't hurt yourself doing the work Kathy; just do what you feel that you can.
