Why I made the decision, not the choice, to be a girl, woman... a lady. First, I must say, in the mitts of this dark toil that is called gender dysphoria, I have been blessed. I, as few others on earth have, been given the gift of experiential understanding of a women's way of knowing and a man's way of knowing.

Much of my reasons I can not explain, and it is even more difficult to explain to those that have not been forced to live through and with this very secret and intimate place within my inner existence.

But possibly, there is a slight hope of (instead of explaining) showing others my reasons by pointing out the extraordinary, the truly exceptional, the exquisite of life that have guided my decisions.

I have made this decision as a result of a search for understanding of the meaning of love and beauty and as a result of the central place they hold in my psyche.  I have sought or hoped to be a simple and genuine reflection of this love and beauty as a woman of substance and achievement through the power of these qualities of existence.

Intellectual, creative, esthetic, philosophical, physical beauty and how they all reveal the value of life have been my master tutors. Beauty has encouraged, inspired and taught me of the extra ordinary in human nature. Love and beauty have provided an understanding of existence and its purpose beyond the best of any of my mortal instructions abilities.

I more than anything else in life, have been moved by the beauty of simple existence; by the ordinary and its elegance; and how the common explains universes themes of that which are all around me. I wish to be a part of this. I wish to be a reflection of this exquisite elegance of life as a woman. This is love. I wish to love fully and celebrate it with all.

This connection and balance with all things is why I have become a woman. To take my rightful place among this extraordinary and profound beauty of simple life is why I am a female. Undeniably, my journey has been a monumental struggle, but it also has been one filled with passion, thrill, and excitement to achieve beyond the expected of the ordinary. It has been a struggle over what is commonly expected, in pursuit of a higher purpose of personal achievement. It has been a battle to overcome the trials of life so to achieve unity with the whole of existence, and for the sack of achieving peace and harmony with goodness. I have become a woman so to grow, to achieve, to blossom into the exquisite that God intended. I seek to be connected with and to touch all that exists with this gentle feminine beauty. To change, for the better, that existence forever.

As a woman, I have a favorite place, a very special place, filled with exquisite beauty of humanity, and surrounded the greatest treasures of human endeavor. This place serves to remind me of my reasons for existing as a woman and the goodness of my love and passions.

Godiva,

When you say you made a decision, this implies you could have chose something else. Are you saying you could have chosen not to be a woman?

Love always,
Elizabeth

She willed herself to be a woman in vitro, first trimester, unfortunately, nature didn't co-operate.

In my own humble opinion we are not able to choose to be a man or a woman, we are born that way, we are just cursed with the wrong body.

But that's just my humble opinion. :)

Steph I agree. I was cursed with a boys body. I decided to take things in my own hands when I was young and I think I have developed into a wonderful girls body thus far. I just hope I am as as sweet as you are after my SRS.
