Spinoff: Who else had an unrelated pre-transition name change?

In the thread discussing initial letters I brought up cases like mine where one's birth name* =/= one's pre-transition name because of an earlier name change. I'm wondering if there's anyone else on here in the same boat - their name was changed before their transition (whether on your or someone else's prerogative - an example of the latter would be if you were adopted or your parents had a change of heart on what to name you). Don't count name changes from marriages or other partnerships (since some of us who were married before transition, especially FTMs, would've done so). You don't need to bring up the details if the situation is too much of a personal nature for you.

*Using the typical context on here (and not the one I mentioned in my reply to the thread I referenced).

i changed my middle name. it was right to do so at the time, but now it doesn't fit any more. still haven't made up my mind completely on what to change it to next...
