I think a lot of people misunderstand fat redistribution. It doesn't mean the fat itself moves, it means where the fat goes changes to a different place. Has your gut changed with fat going there instead? I work out a lot and especially so now, post top surgery, and my hips and butt are much different than 9 months ago, like drastically so! I've burned off a lot (but not all yet) of the fat there and new fat isn't accumulating there. Fat won't move or leave on its own, you have to work it away. There's also no such thing as targeted weight loss so that's why it takes a good amount of time, even with exercise, to get it gone as it's a gradual all over fat loss process. Like I said, I workout, but I'm prepping for a worldwide competition and training to insane athlete levels and 9 months on (with around 2 months off post surgery) I'm still not at where I want to be. It's a slow process.
However, if you are working it away and then actually still putting fat on at hips at butt, that's a different story and may indicate that you're not getting enough T, so if you haven't had levels checked, that might be worth doing.
I feel everything else for me is better than expected but my facial hair is at a really weird place. It grows so fast but only under chin, sides of tasche and sides of face and neck. Everything from cheek to neck is nothing and chin is here and there! I have to shave twice a day (if going out at night) to hide the fact that I have giant bald patches!!! Lol
I've just started getting chest hair, and my legs are almost too hairy! Lol. My thigh hair has darkened to match bottom of leg where it used to be much much lighter. I have that stomach hair too, that was before chest hair though, well before! Have you got any brothers to compare with? Do you have dark or light hair? If you don't have a brother to compare to, is your ethnicity one that normally gets particularly hairy. It could perhaps have an influence not just on amount but on how quickly.
As for things like smell or skin feeling different, these are more things that other people notice, not so much yourself because it's such a gradual thing. You may think your skin feels the same because it's been gradual for you, but if you were to say compare with a girl and feel her skin then yours, you might notice it. Or if a girl felt your face they'd identify it as a rougher, male skin. It's usually more from people you don't see everyday or live with too, because for them it's also been a gradual process, so they're not a good indicator either.
