Came out to my grandma Sunday night... I think it went well. I didn't really want to talk to her about it but she has been helping me with the costs of prom (the prom that I talked about in another post) and now that she has given me over $150 I thought that I was obligated to tell her I planned to spend her money on a dress. I told her that ive looked up something called gender dysphoria and that I thought I had it. She seemed fine and said it was something that I would have to find out on my own. Also she assumed that I was gay and I am but anyway I asked if she wanted her money back but she told me she didn't and that she had another $20 for me. Now I have to talk to my parents about prom... it will be a bloodbaths. Any advice for coming out (again) to someone who you know will not like it.

I am glad it went well with your grandma.

I don't have a lot of advice for you about coming out to people who won't be supportive except to know when to walk away. if there minds are made up there's a point where talking (arguing) about it just hurts everyone. you can't change them and you don't deserve to be treated poorly.
