I'm happy to hear your doing OK Jill and back to your old self.

Back to my old self?  I certainly hope not.  "He" was kind of a dick.  :D

Now it's Jill 2.0- who wants hugs and cookies?

What made me happy today was scoring VIP tickets to Judas Priest in November. 6th row center and some level of backstage pass.  I just hope there's free beer this time.  I hate it when I go backstage and there's no real perks other than surly crew telling you to get the hell out of their way.

Um, yea, I hate to tell you this Laura, but Vicodin is Hydrocodone + a given amount of Acetaminophin(Tylonol). The Hydrocodone is the small number, and the Acetaminophin is the large number. {I apologize for spelling}

I'm happy to hear your doing OK Jill and back to your old self.

:D Oh.

Well, that shows my ignorance when it comes to stuff like that. I thought that Vicodin was something much heavier than that.

My friend randomly hit me up on Facebook and said she referred me to her manager for an opening at a food court.
I come in to meet him and do an application and possibly interview tomorrow afternoon. Here's hoping I get the job!

I might be playing an out of town show with my Noise project. I just have to wait and see on the details and whatnot.

I've been on narcotic pain med's in one form or another since my accident in 91. Believe me everything else has been tried including various surgeries, physical therapy, and injections to aleviate my condition all to no avail. So unfortunately for me they are a necessary evil I must live with if I want to keep my current lifestyle of independence.

Thanks.

I probably won't get paid. If I do, it may be 20 bucks. That's the nature of this stuff. Oh well, if I wanted to be rich making any kind of music it sure as hell wouldn't be Noise.  :D It's more about playing the show itself and meeting some cool people.

This actually happened yesterday, but I got home late and went straight to bed instead of posting about it.

I received my second degree initiation yesterday, being promoted from priest and witch to high priest and magus.

I woke up next to my boyfriend today. This is specific to today because we haven't dated in over a year. His last job didn't allow us to be close, so we decided to just be friends. He kept his word at being a great friend and now we're both more available to each other. I wasn't sure if he would want me back because he strongly prefers men over women, and I had to explain my new situation when he asked me out again. He was actually fine with it and even supportive. I'll leave my doubts for another day and just be happy today.

Couldn't happen to a nicer holy woman. Congratulations!

It would seem so because, while I was waiting for the manager at that place my friend referred me to, I went to that other new food court spot at the mall my friend told me about where Panda Express was opening up and was hiring people. I get surprised by an employee and manager behind me and offered me an open interview. They had several questions, mostly ones where they followed up on my answers about having a Psychology degree and why I'm suddenly going to the food industry business. They seemed to have liked me well enough I suppose since they asked me if I applied online and asked me to write down my full legal name on a manager card and told me apply online so we can go further in the process.

Yeah, I hope that works out cause the manager at that place my friend at works was kind of insensitive.

Manager: *looking at application* "You have a Bachelor's degree. Why don't you have a job?"
Me: *attempts to laugh a bit* Yeah...

You got to answer that question seriously. When they ask you that, they are asking it because they want to know if you've been applying or just not been trying to get a job. The more you apply, the better it will look on you. Also, the more consistently you apply at jobs the better it'll look on you vs. only applying at a few, then waiting a long time and trying to apply at a few more.

If you haven't already done so, I recommend you read online the many answers to the questions the interviewer will ask you, as well as the many other tips. One of which was which helped me get my current job "If they don't call you back, call them back in a week from when you applied there."

Best of luck!

That wasn't an interview. He was literally looking over my application, made some comments and told me that he'll call me.
