Long time no post, I have been reading everyone else's posts and just absorbing as much as I can.  I just came out to my best friends wife a month ago and she said she has known that I was TG for a long time but this has just been the beginning for me.  We have since started walking together everyday, (with her husbands approval of course) as we both needed to lose weight.  I have lost 17 lbs.  Today I told my mother, and that went exceptionally well.  She wrapped her arms around me and told me she loved me, and though she had many ?'s said she would ask them later, but she would support me and be there for me know matter what.  I cried, and I was happy at the same time.  I am seeing a counselor but have not yet begun hrt.  So now I have something new to share with my therapist.
Smile, everyone will wonder what you are up to.

Wow. Congrats! That your mother supports and accepts you is really huge. My mom is going to be crushed. I'm about the same position as you, sans counselor and coming out.

Kira.....
Good for you on taking your first step, the scariest one.  Remember to tell your therapist that you do have a resource, Susans, though we are online, I have found it a wonderful support.  Any time you have questions, or just random thoughts, bring them here.  Feel free to e-mail me anytime.

Good for you!

That is really good news. I recently told my cousin that I was TG.  She took it quite well and said that she knew I was different for years but when I told her of my decision of transitioning, I think she was more excited than I was.  She told me that she supports this 100% and already picking out outfits and earrings for me.  Go figure.  It's nice to have that kind of support and really helps out during the hard times.  It means your not alone when times get tough.  Best of luck to both of us!!! ;D

Your mother probably had more than an idea judging by your photograph and it's more easy to accept someone who looks so feminine as you do.
