I'm growing taller?

This is a bit of old news, but I'm still pretty perplexed about it and thought I should share.  I'm nineteen years old, actually almost twenty, but I grew an inch and a half and I'm experiencing growing pains in my shins.  I'm not on testosterone or taking anything that should affect my height, but my girlfriend noticed that I was getting taller.  I've been 5'5" since I was thirteen and despised my height since it caused me worse dysphoria. Now I'm 5'6" in a half, which I can't even believe.  I thought it was my spine decompressing but for about a month now, we've seen the subtle change. I know it's daft, we measured my height a few times before -- for kicks and giggles & that childish mentality for a miracle, but it's a good thing we did that. I'm not exercising or stretching yet, though I plan to.  I haven't been eating differently or stopped taking vitamins.  Has this happened to anyone?  Is it normal?  Thanks!

That could happen if you had low E during puberty and your growth plates didn't fuse.

But also, it could be that your old measurement was wrong... it can be really hard to stand up perfectly straight, I measured 5'4 a few times and I was like, what? Then I flattened myself against a wall and was actually 5'5...

That js really cool if you are still growing though, consider yourself lucky :B

I don't know if I had low E during puberty because of my chest... but that would explain the sudden growth spurt if my plates haven't fused yet.

It's a bit silly, but I've always kept track of my measurements even after I knew that I had stopped growing.  Every few months of so, I'd measure myself again or have someone do it for me.  I've always been a sickly person and going from doctor to doctor, so every time they measured me they would say 5'5" and I've lived in so many places and had done the pencil line on the wall in so many places, so I definitely know for a fact that I've grown.

It's a blessing for sure and I do feel lucky! I wonder if I can get more inches in before it stops but that might be pushing it. ;D

Woah, that's awesome. I have heard that cis guys can grow until they are 21-25 even. So even if not much you never know... actually I am MAAB and stopped growing at 13 though.... so, it really is just kinda random I guess. Fingers crossed c:
