Burring or reconstruction, which did he do?

How can you tell what type of forehead surgery was actually done?  Is it normal for your forehead to have the EXACT same shape as it was before, only flatter?  If they remove the bone, shouldn't it be shaped into a feminine shape with little or no bossing?

I had my forehead done and I really have my doubts as to whether he actually removed the bone and reshaped it or whether he just burred it down.  I can feel the bones and it feels as though it was burred (to the extent where I can feel the very edges of my former glabella bone.  How can you actually tell which procedure was done?

I can think of a couple of ways:
The most obvious, ask your surgeon.
Another one, get some profile x rays and compare them with the old ones.

Well, that's my problem.  Of course my surgeon is saying that he moved it back, but I swear he didn't.  It's my forehead, I know how it felt before and I know how it feels now.  I just don't think he is being truly honest with me.   When they remove it, they actually reshape it, right??

I didn't know much about this when I picked him, I was searching doctors everywhere and he was the only one I found who actually reconstructed it.  (I am a genetic female who ended up with a masculine forehead and I never knew this is something that could be fixed).  After consulting with several surgeons who said they simply sand it down, I found him who said he doesn't just sand it.  I didn't know about Xrays or anything.  So yes that's my fault, but I just feel like I was ripped off because I traveled to him to have that done, but I look NO different than before.  I feel the way it feels and it just does not feel like it wasn't removed at all.

He says he will redo it, however based on my experiences with him I do not feel he is honest, and I would never go under his knife again.  If he made a judgment call and decided to just shave it off then fine, I can understand that.  But I think i am being lied to.  They have been acting SO funny.  I asked his girl 3 times as I was healing whether he actually removed and redid, or whether he just shaved it.  She ignored the question three times.

Did the surgeon request any pre-op x-rays to work with? If he didn't then you can presume that he did not do a reconstruction. There are techniques to move the sinus bone back further without removing it, which requires thinning the bone out by burring it until it becomes pliable and then physically pushing it back. What type of incision did the surgeon make to access your forehead? Do you have a pre-op side view of your forehead to compare with?

There is no difference before & after ? Then he simply is not good, regardless of technique he use. You can request new x-ray / ct scan, maybe the plate/screw can be detectable, if he did use that.

The incision goes back into my hair, and the only part in front of my hairline is right in front of my bangs (which the day before he said it would be temple to temple, but it goes back and not even all the way down to my ear).

I have my own photos that I took (which aren't professionally done, but they are photos of me nonetheless) and yeah the front bone bossing is gone, but he didn't touch around my eyes and the bones are still low over my eyes and I know for a fact he did not even touch my orbital bones (I had ridges in them that I still have, that if he did do it I shouldn't have).

Then when I was asking them for records they were acting so funny (they only gave me three pieces of paper----BS, you did surgery on me and only have three pages of notes?  They swore up and down that's all they had then suddenly a few more popped up after I reminded him of conversations we had).  I could have probably told him anything and he would have invented a record.  I still don't have everything.

The op notes said he removed "the portion over the frontal sinus and contoured it" I am trying to find out the details of where exactly he decided my sinus is located and where it was removed.  I am also had xrays done and looked at by another doctor.  The forehead feels Exactly the same.

There is something going on here, and I know he's hiding something from me.   All he keeps wondering is how he can fix it.  I keep repeating that ship has sailed.  Once I think I can't trust you, why would I have you perform additional surgery on me?   I have caught him and two of his office staff in lies, and they just keep acting like nothing is wrong.

In his video online he says he "shapes the bone around the eyes".   To me, he just shaved it off.  I could have had that done a half hour away.

I did get a side xray done afterwards, I don't see any titanium anything in my head (at least I don't think I do). I don't know how to post that.    I am sending it to another Dr. forehead doctor to have him look at it.

Can anyone tell me what the screws look like in a side xray?   The op notes said he removed it, and used two miniplates and 6 #3 self locking screws.

When I say the bossing is gone, I mean my glabella only, the ridging over my eyes is still quite noticeable to me.  And now I have an indent between them, so now not only do I still have manly bones, I look like a CAVEMAN!! The op notes say he contoured that only and put it back in.  Why would he do that?  Unless he was prepping me for a geico commercial.  Ugh.
