It seems like the flood gates are opening, and more and more people are coming out. Today I went to an office supply store to use the bathroom. They had single-user, gendered bathrooms, which makes no sense to me. The women's room was occupied, and the girl who came out was trans! It must have been a nice surprise for both of us.

It is sign of the times. Todays societal tolerance is getting better every day and I am like you, I see it everywhere. It was not even remotely possible for people to come out in my day as evident by all the older members here starting late to the party. We still have a long way to go though and plenty of work to do. I hope we see the day come when trans care is covered by ALL insurance providers as we have an officially recognized medical issue. In my day being trans was declared a mental health issue and treatment was just not available. I am so happy people undergoing transition today receive support and new medical procedures. The younger generation here owes a great debt to those that paved the way and made this possible. :)
