Samurais have too much honor for me. Stealth, guile and darkness are my allies

A prince being thus obliged to know well how to act as a beast must imitate the fox and the lion, for the lion cannot protect himself from snares, and the fox cannot defend himself from wolves. One must therefore be a fox to recognise snares, and a lion to frighten wolves. Those that wish to be only lions do not understand this.

I had the ground I knew my retreats my speech was planned all that matters now is first contact.

You don't avoid such a war, you merely postpone it, to your own disadvantage

I was told she new it was coming since Christmas if she had asked I would of told.  For I can not lie.

All in all Lara I faced the my mum and told her

I don't know whats better.  The fact that you told your mom or the awesome way you wrote that.

Im so happy for you!

What I have accepted hmmm.

That I will be bigger than most boys/guys when I have my boots on with 1,5-2 inch heels (i'm already at 6' without)
My high hairline.
The ex-balding spot on the top of my head (I put some powder on it to camoflage it, because a wig is overkill for such a small spot).
That I will stay wacky.
The emotional outbursts and being so sensitive.
I pass as both a young man and a young woman at the same time (people are confused at times, especially a roomy who didn't know I was trans* she knows it now though and accepts me).
My face still sees male (though it will most likely will change, my face still bothers me alot I keep seeing my old pre-HRT face).
My somewhat big feet.

Luckily my figure is great and i have delicate hands and long small fingers, so I don't have a problem to accept that (a good girlfriend of mine was jealous at my figure and my hands and she said she wanted to have them xD)

You use powder on a bald spot?  How do you do that and keep it looking natural? Just curious. I have a troublesome spot with my hair.

Also, passing as a young man and a woman at the same time.....is that why people give me such strange looks all the time??  Do you get them too??

Lastly, will we ever see our new appearance in the mirror?  Will our old image ever fade away from our minds?

I finally decided to take a look at this thread. This is great!

I accept that:
I am taller than most people (6'2" without shoes)
My job will identify me as male until I start applying to jobs as a female
People will misgender me regularly unless I'm wearing makeup
I am a woman, no matter what people think
There is way too much emphasis on what's between my legs
Shoes aren't gonna fit

I love:
My body frame
My friends who all identify me as Alyssa, and have had no problem in dealing with my transition
My roommates who are being so wonderful to me, taking me in, and letting me get back on my feet after my hell of a relationship that I just got out of
This forum for having people on it who are there for me when I need them, but brutally honest when ->-bleeped-<- doesn't fly

^_^

Thank you!
I gotta admit, a lot of my views on how to be comfortable with who I am, and how I'm going to react to others reactions to me comes from Cindy on this forum. It doesn't come easy, but it's a great outlook on life, and more often than not, I find myself in that mindset. I mean, obviously there's a line between not giving a crap what others think of you, and common courtesy, but I find that what a lot of MtF women have a problem with is accepting the fact that it's not a bad thing to think of yourself first. Until you can figure out who you are, and how to deal with your own comfort levels, you really shouldn't be bending and compensating for everyone else.

Perfect! There's always going to be some lamer that just has to say something, lol whether you keep it real or not in that situation is your call. It's demotivating at times, but it takes a lot of heat to make strong steel! :D

Oh right okay I acknowledge that...

1 - Girls your not alone, I'am 6'2  :(
2 - Ew I have big feet kinda, sorta bigg-ish
3 - Can't believe I wrote that
4 - Your probably thinking of clowns at this point :(
5 - Kinda wide shouldered
6 - Too thin

How thin is too thin? As long as we are eating right and not losing or putting on weight at an alarming rate, shoud we not learn to embrase our bodies for all its quirks. For all those who try us otherwise please feel free to continue this discussion with me in Room 101

Yeah Cindy is cool.  She's all "I am who I am and I don't give a crap what you think.  I look good!" (thats not paraphrased btw).  There is nothing wrong with thinking of yourself.  How can you be there for others if you are not there for yourself?

Converse low tops are always awesome and no way look like clown shoes.

These are my latest "Clown Shoes," women's mules, they suit my androgynous presentation and feel like slippers. Also got another pair of women's strappy sandals for summertime.

They are, I got them from the women's section at Duluth Trading Company of all places, the outfit with the outrageous commercials that advertise shirts with extra long tails so you won't show your butt crack. lol  :D

I bought some great fitting colorful women's long sleeve Henley T shirts there too, they look nice unbuttoned over a women's tank top.

Well it's not an compleet bald spot, but a spot that was almost bald, very thin hairs (if I waited a year it would have been a bald spot, but luckily I started just in time with hrt). The powder is some kind of hair building fiber in my hair colour (it only works if you at least have some hairs there, I think). My hairdresser came with it when I came out to her (I have been going for years to the same hairdresser). It's called Toppik and available in different colors (I'm sorry if I break any rules about advertising it's not my intent, I just want to say what I use).

Most of the time I pass as a woman (like 95% of the time), but if I wear certain cloths or if I wear my head phone I become androgyn (somewhere in between male/female). If I want to pass as male I just change my hair style a bit and lower my voice and poof I'm a somewhat feminine young man (always have been like that prior to comming out, though my breasts might ruin the passing as male).

The face problem is getting better since I'm on hrt, but sometimes I still see my old face and that stings.

Converse, my life savers. Using a pair of leather ones with wool on the inside. Lovely warm feet in the winter.

Interesting. Toppiks.  You see I have this weird hairline that is usually covered up.  I mean its not bad its just weird.  This is something I may look into.

OMG!! Leather converse with wool.....   That sounds amazing!

Two Bodies/Same Soul

I don't have anything I accept right off the top of my head right now, but I thought I would say I love your optimism  Lara! A lot of us need it. Dysphoria was pretty bad yesterday, even ranted about it a little on facebook. Anyways enough whining. At least my new wig is going to be here soon!

I am so lucky to be where I am! :)
