So yeah, main reason was due to the fact I could hear others through the walls and if I could hear them, odds are they could hear me. Well, after talking to her on the matter, she said it was probably best we due cancel our appointment and I seek another one like I'd said to her. She also said another reason for the cancelation is due to her mom getting real sick (Hospital for a month minimum) and her needing to be there for her so she was taking on less work cases and having to lighten her load (Hope her mom gets well). Still, I only had 1 session, most was spent on me venting about how my "Dad" has made my life harder after I came out to him and I didn't get a diagnosis either and she had only 1 referral to a male psych which I'd refer female. (Usually works out if they're female) So I'm back to square one, darn Medicaid/medicare and the lack of thera/psychs who take them! >_<

So yeah, just need to know 1 thing at this point, my psych said therapists can't diagnose a person, is this true? I mean, if I'm to look I need to know whether to go for psych or thera and I need for her to be able to diagnose me as well as give me referrals to an endo and so on...

Well, excuse me while I remain a bit upset and depressed over this since I thought I was finally going to get to transition and such...

Anybody can diagnose anybody. Diagnose simply means offer an opinion of what your issues are.

As for who will accept diagnoses, that's a different question. The WPATH standards of care are very specific whose referrals will be accepted. However which doctors will accept which diagnoses is entirely up to the individual doctors.

The system couldn't be more obscure.
