My SRS is booked for this coming July! While I'm incredibly excited, I wanted to share some experiences that I've had since booking my SRS that I didn't expect to maybe help others who are also planning on SRS.
There's lots of information about the need to have support systems in place for complications that may arise
after surgery, but I haven't seen too much about preperations
before.
Personally before looking into or planning SRS I tried to ignore that part of my body being incorrect until I could fix it. However with my SRS being booked it's brought that to the fore front and has caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. I'm unsure if it's impatience of wanting it fixed now or with SRS being such a big deal making me think about this so often.
This might be a pretty meaningless post, but just wanted to share this or warn others that the road
to surgery might have some challenges just as the road
after.
