For anyone in the UK, have you ever consulted this organisation for counselling?  I've emailed the representative for my area (the Midlands) and I likely won't see a response till Tuesday between 7 - 11 PM but I might try contacting them by phone at this time because I'm desperate to talk to someone.

Has anyone got any experience with them and what's the process like?  Are there alternative organisations that provide counselling for transgender people?

I was already seeing a therapist privately for depression and anxiety problems.  When I started to consider the possibility of transition she was happy to go on seeing us - yes we were "us" by then.

I don't personally know anything about the Beaumont Society and as far as I know none of my friends have had any contact with it.
