So, I know that there are a lot of threads and such out there for SRS surgery, and if I could find a half decent answer to my question anywhere on the internet, that would be lovely. But I can't find one, so I'm going to post here and see if I can find any answers. Here goes.

So I know that with phallo, they normally take everything out, and sew you shut so that they can make testicles with your bits. I, however, want a phallo, and keep my vagina, because I actually like to use it. There are surgeons who do not do this - and that is their thing. They do what they want. But I'm wondering if there's a good surgeon that WILL do this, and what kinds of complications can I expect to see? I'm not on T yet, and I'm currently saving for top surgery, so I want to go through all that first.

I know that I can't have everything that I want. But it would be nice to. I don't even care that it won't be a "real penis" in the sense that it is not made of real penile tissue. (NO I'm NOT discounting other bottom surgeries as not real, so please don't flame me for that)

I'm only 19, (20 in August 2014), so I don't want to take away my ability to have kids for at least a few years until I'm mentally ready to make that choice. So I'm in no rush to make this decision. In the same case, I'm in no rush to get a reply. So just reply whenever, I'm looking forward to hearing if this is possible or if someone has done it already.

As far as I know there are no surgeons that keep the vagina intact while performing phalloplasty. Dr McGinn http://www.drchristinemcginn.com/services/srs/metoidioplasty.php reduces the size of the vaginal opening during metoidioplasty but doesn't do a vaginectomy , so she might be a good place to start, but I think talking to surgeons individually might be the best way to find out how to keep your vagina.
Have you considered freezing eggs?
