Listening to that jabbering m->-bleeped-<-ie NikkiT and her hairbrained plans to cure the world's ills*. Thankfully there was cake, tea, glorious weather and the views over Cardiff Bay to distract me.

Back to plastic surgeon tomorrow to remove stitches, check on progress. I really do not look as bad as eye pic. It has been kind of a test to use that pic. If after seeing that rough pic people still respond I know they are real friends. The only ones that matter in life anyway.

I really like my PS & all his nurses. They all like me bunches & want to help me look my very best.

Life is good.
Sure, guilt me into replying.  ;D I reply to very little, but just for you. Good luck with recovery. Too early for much to make me happy, but the board did remind me that I have to call an endo this morning. Better go look up that number.

Oh, I know, coffee and homemade strawberry-blueberry muffins and a lazy reading morning before I have to go to work this afternoon, that makes me happy! Oooh, so does my Sweety and I being back to normal after I came out to her three weeks ago tomorrow. Not gonna say more before this post has to migrate to the "happy and sad" thread.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

(OK, now I have a real one. The endo my therapist recommended works with transgendered clients and I have an appointment in the third week in July. I also received a call from my primary's office and their endo will see me if I wish, but my primary was so weirded out I don't feel comfortable going there, especially since there was no mention of previous transgendered care and their office is in a Catholic hospital.

*happy dance!*

I still don't entirely know where this going, but it's moving. I can, at least, find out medically, hopefully, whether I'm physically transgendered or just a raving lunatic.  :D)

Redacted for factual errors. The endo's office called and said he does NOT have experience with transgendered people. See post in other thread.

Its been a wonderful week.  I live across the dock from my bro in law who is completely supportive of my transition to the point that sometimes I have to pull him back.  He corrects people about pronouns more than I do.  Well he has made sure that everyone on our side of the dock knows and respects how I feel to the point that the lady who manages the emergency contact list updated it with my preferred name.  Well he came into my boat the other night while I was in a fitting Tshirt and some comfy pants and called me miss looking for me he didnt recognize my body shape and I was facing away from him.  I was soo happy I ran across and hugged him.  Well he wanted to let me know that I need to start wearing some sort of top when I am sunbathing since my girls are finally getting obvious for what they are.  I really hadnt noticed since I see them every day.

The next day I was teaching swim lessons for my mom and she asked me to start wearing a larger shirt when I come over since again the girls are kinda obvious.  She was reaching to start a fight hoping that would be my trigger.  I was soo happy that I just gave them a wiggle and skipped out the door smiling the whole drive home.  My mom is completely against my new life and tries constantly to convince me that I was born a guy and should live as a male.

Last night I am getting ready to cook dinner when my other neighbor comes over and asks if I can tow his boat back to the slip he had a engine problem.  I went out there and set up my tow line as he kept asking about my knots and trying to double check everything.  On the tow  back he called me on the radio and said "Wow Chloe you drive a boat better than a man."  He said he kept watching to see if he can make a woman driver comment but could not find a reason.
When we got back to the dock and got him tied up a bunch of the wives and girlfriends asked me to teach them how to drive better and dock the boats.

I have had a wonderful couple of days!! They have been needed for a very long time.

I got lucky and got one of the older girly watches inlaid with gold and a few stones. :icon_chick: It looks more like a bracelet than a watch. It's very pretty and feminine unlike those with the larger faces you see a lot of girls wearing today. :icon_blah: It was given to me by my now ex SO but I'll always cherish it as we did have a lot of good times before the bad, and I think of those. :icon_ballbounce: :icon_ballbounce2: :icon_biggrin:

I had to go to court and "fight" to legally change my name & gender marker on my ID and Birth Certificate and also applied for a new social security card. Today has quite possibly been the greatest day ever and my mom joined me in experiencing this day in person which made things even better. I have a new birth certificate with the right name and gender, my ID has a picture of a beautiful woman smiling.

What is really sticking with me is the lady at the DMV remembered me from my former name and old ID picture from 3 years ago after I gave her my court order and old ID. Her words after taking my picture for the new ID was "WOW! Come around the counter and look at your new picture! This is amazing!!!!"

Once the ID printed out we compared the two and WOW times infinity is all I can say. My old ID I couldn't even smile and looked miserable and in my new one you'd think you just saw the happiest woman alive.

What a day what a day what a day and I'm so happy that my mom was able to be with me and experience all the greatness, kindness & acceptance from so many random people today. She has been so afraid I'm going to be seen as some kind of monster by the public and the reality is I blend in just fine and I shine brightly in the process. People just love to talk to me and that's something that could NEVER be said of me for the first 29 9/10ths years that I was alive.

I know this feeling of elation and confirmation. I just had my gender marker changed on my Driver's License two Wednesdays ago, and now instead of an ugly mugshot I too have a beautiful woman smiling back at me. I now show my ID when asked with pride instead of shame. I just wish I had my Mom with me on that day to share in the experience.

Congratulations Megumi, you gotta be feeling really great right now. :icon_chick:

Best wishes! :icon_bunch:

Ginny

Not today, but yesterday on my day off.
Friends had to cancel on my due to a medical issue. Spent probably 2-3hrs cooking, baking, and mixing a drink in the kitchen in my dress with some classical music on. Brother came home and was like "did you cook that!?" I was then like "try some", after he ate he told me that he was somewhat joking that I'd make a good wife one day when we were kids, but that "damn, you would make someone a good wife"  :D  Made me so happy that my first attempt at getting back in the kitchen for many years was great success!

Also he caught me self correcting myself for cussing later that night. I decided I wanted to stop cussing, so every time I say a cuss word then I have to write down "I will not say 'insert word or phrase here'" 100x.  Its only taken me about 800 sentences, but definitely improving. Anyways he came by to use the bathroom and said "Aww isn't that cute".  Luckily he walked on by because I'm pretty sure I blushed and felt all good inside.   :D
