What made you happy today?, for MTF members please

I'm glad to start back with electrolysis this Saturday. After my facelift I needed to heal for quite a while but now I should be fine to proceed on toward a clean face. I'm lucky, my lady is nearby, very nice to talk with, she does a very good job & really does not charge me very much since I visit quite often. I'm sure glad to get back on my diet, while healing from surgery with no activity & got fat, yuck, yuck, yuck.

Actually this is a culmination of the last couple of weeks.

Well, I've tried standard voice therapy to find my voice, nada, didn't work for me. You tube video tutorials, also, nada. I had almost given up as the damage done to my throat in my 91 accident was extensive.

However, lo and behold around two weeks ago I was singing along to a Katy Perry song that had somehow gotten stuck in my head(she's not what I usually listen to). The song is called: "I Kissed A Girl," and I noticed I was matching her pitch. As a former musician I know when notes match when I hear them. Well, at the time I didn't think much of it, and continued singing along while doing my housework.

Fast forward to 6 days ago, and i had decided to re-record my viocemail greeting. I noticed, with a huge smile mind you, that I couldn't match my old pre-hrt recording at all. My voice was too high. Well, I got to thinking and I also noticed I wasn't getting sirred as much on the phone anymore. So, I did my best to find the voice I was using to sing along to Katy Perry, and when I thought I was there I re-recorded a simple new greeting. When I played it back I couldn't believe my ears. I sounded feminine! Yay! It was weird, while speaking with my new voice what I hear in my head does sound higher, but not really feminine.

So anyway I started practicing every chance I could up until the culminating moment of my happiness over this, yesterday my phone rang, and I had decided to try using my new voice. It was my cable company, a male technician. I said hello. and he replied, How are you today maam! Yes!, yes!, yes!, I'm whispering holding the receiver to my leg so the guy couldn't hear. I then put it on speaker so my friend Reaver, who was on Skype video chat with me could hear. As the conversation continued it was "yes maam," or "no maam," throughout, and "goodbye maam," as we hung up. I was so so happy I could hardly contain myself! I've finally after 5 years of trying found my female voice!!

I'm a happy happy girl!

I've decided to go by Jen in all (just about all) of my college classes. We are still going through introductions in this first week. So in one of my classes today, one girl said "Like Jen said yada yada yada", and it was the first time I had ever been addressed like that outside of my therapy sessions. Hearing her say that... I had a moment of "That's me... I'm Jen...". Gahhhh!!

Beautiful day where I live, think I'll go thrift store shopping today for fall clothes. I love to go shopping. Last night was nice, we have some very nice members of Susan's Place & it was fun talking with lots of girl friends about life, sex, HRT, etc....... Love my nearby Goodwill store, I love to shop & found some very nice fall dresses, a few other items & some cute little bags all so inexpensive.

It's so nice to be a member of Susan's Place. I asked a little question about hair loss & so many nice women replied with what really works to grow thick hair. Maybe some of us can be "Wen Girls". Thanks to them I am going to start a new program. Good luck GF's.

Being able to spend time with like minded people who understand what I'm going through makes me happy. Also getting a chance to talk to a friend whom has been helping me out for the first time in 4 months face to face.

Let's go shopping. My local Goodwill store has 50% off of everything today. I love to shop & it's great to sometimes find designer dresses so inexpensive. "I do not have a thing in my closet" as they say.

It has been 19 days after GRS and I feel really good today, I still have some pain but on general the new vagina looks really good and dilation is getting easier every time! I guess it may be time to go to a new size!

I am awaiting a call back from the transgender center in Miami regarding scheduling for my SRS Surgery. This has had me on a cloud since I spoke with them on Friday!

I just love my 3 inch wedges I picked up from my local Goodwill store yesterday, so cute & only a big $2. I tried to post a nice pic but the file is too big?

Tomorrow I'm having a custom corset made for me and I have my first laser appointment on the 8th. Even when some things are going slow, I am staying happy with whatever I can get in-between.

A corset. I remember those days, my waist was so so small & such curves. I looked great in anything slinky but be careful you can get those things so tight you literally cannot breath or bend over much at all. Mine were always Victorias Secret corsets with strong side bones & back multiple tighten cords. Have fun but be careful GF.

Oh I'll definitely be careful. Custom-made corsets are much better in that regard. I'm also having it made by someone I know very well (my friend's mom) who runs a very professional business about that. I'm lucky to know her so well, so I'll be doing it right.

A nice dentist visit today. My teeth are perfect & my technicial knows I'm feminine, taking HRT, having electrolysis, my recent facelift surgery....... We have a nice time talking about life. She is a pretty woman in her early 30's & a very nice girl friend. I'm welcome anytime in a pretty dress or old jeans.

My electrolysis lady is so funny & nice to talk with. We are starting back soon & maybe I can laugh through the pain. My face is looking cleaner & each visit is worthwhile. So kinda happy stuff.

It's a nice cool day where I live. There is a touch of fall in the air. I look forward to dressing nicer this fall & winter, some nice new pantyhose on a cold day will feel good.
