What made me happy was going to work today. Last week a started a new job working for a large, multinational company working on a highly visible project. It is validating to be able to participate in a something which gives me a creative outlet and sense of purpose.

My grandparents found out about me. I don't really get to see them but my mom was able to meet up with them, so I gave her permission to let them know and she did.

That same day I got a call from them being completely supportive and cool with the whole thing. It was pretty comforting since that expands the circle of family that currently knows. Very exciting!

The main challenges to still be met are coming out to my father's side of the family (super conservative and judgmental) and coming out at work. I'm kind of terrified about these two being considerably more difficult, but I'm excited about not having to hide anything from anyone once I do.

Getting my wait down to 160.1 with a BMI of 25.1. Oh so close finally that I can taste it.

Actually it was yesterday. We had an office potluck and the one woman in the office who I've come out to as trans, even though I haven't begun transition yet, invited me to eat with her and a couple other girls and it was a fun hour of girl chat. This morning I thanked her for helping me feel like "one of the girls." She said anytime. I've hugged her several times because she can tell when I'm down because of the dysphoria, After I thanked her I had to take a quick walk outside because I thought I was going to cry with happiness, she made me feel so special as "one of the girls."

Hugs All,

That's my goal too. I'm 173 now and dropping. Hitting the gym hard.

Getting inside the normal weight range is my first goal and then dropping another good 20 I will be really happy with my weight. I'm very happy to hear that is your goal. I have no doubt you can achieve it. I honestly thought I would hit this weight a year and half ago, but a few stumbling blocks slowed me down.

A woman in line at the grocery store that I let ahead of me said thank you Mam, as she glanced at my face, that was nice. Maybe my facelift & eye lid surgery was worth it. I was not really dressed very feminine, no makeup at all, just normal.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

Looking in the mirror actually. I've been losing weight and letting my hair grow out. And it does wonders already :D ,not on hrt yet but I think I already got an androgynous "head/face" if that makes sense. The littlest changes hrt will do (especially body wise) will do wonders...

Already thinking of going outside dressed as a woman, even tho I have no clothes yet :p

Pleased to meet you ;)

I was at KFC today and was "ma'amed" at first glance by the cashier.  :icon_dance:  As I walked out, I was all smiles! The long-ish hair and earrings throw people off I guess.
"There was a sculptor, and he found this stone, a special stone. He dragged it home and he worked on it for months, until he finally finished. When he was ready he showed it to his friends and they said he had created a great statue. And the sculptor said he hadn't created anything, the statue was always there, he just cleared away the small peices." Rambo III

Honestly? Today, nothing. Not feeling too great right now.

Visiting family in Knoxville, TN and being told how beautiful I look by those who haven't seen me since I transitioned. Did so shopping today with my sister in law and dinner with my cousin. She treated my wife and I to a wonderful steak dinner at Flemings Steak house.

I'm going to color my hair today which is always fun, lunch with my beauty salon owner early next week. She is giving me some of her older leather boots since we are the same size & we'll have fun with girl talk while she does my face with her makeup ideas. I'm already back on my diet after too much turkey yesterday & I'm going to step up my daily spiro to make sure my hormone levels stay correct. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Colored my hair with Clairol Expert. Very nice coverage & soft hair. Today was the first time I've used this brand & it sure seems worth a few more dollors than some other cheaper brands I've used.  It guarantees to cover any grey & permanent color, not wash away cream. Just FYI GF's if you have any grey.
