I am thankful for having a great support network who are forgiving of my moody + sometimes overly colourful ways. I'd be lost (or institutionalised) w/out them! :)

I'm traveling tomorrow to get a hair transplant on Thursday.
I'm scared and excited at the same time.  Time to make war on the damnedable widow's peak and non-female pattern ... er, hair loss.
First surgical procedure for me on my girlification path.
Wish me luck!
Great for you GF. I know you will feel great. I also need a hair transplant. If you are in the USA will you please share all the details. PM me or post here & I'll connect with you. I'm sure you will do fine with this procedure. I had a complete facelift last summer & it took my face quite a while to return to normal however after it did I look 10-15 years younger.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

Its been a bit over three years since I've had my hair cut and I'm happy with how its looking.

This is my all natural color, a bit darker in the winter but in summer it lightens up quite a bit.

My spouse says I should get about 2" trimmed, should I get it cut straight across or rounded?

Yesterday was my birthday in more ways than one...   :icon_birthday:

I held off to begin HRT until yesterday, it was tough staring at the pill bottles for a week, but I wanted to celebrate my birthday with the official hormonal birth of Rachael Anne  :icon_female: (I'm not going full time yet).
The day started with my wife and I spending some girl time together.  We painted each others toe nails a nice sparkly pink!  Then I got a nice (but subtle) clear gloss on my finger nails.

What a nice morning, but it didn't stop there...
Last night to commemorate my starting HRT, my wife accompanied me to the Piercing Pagoda, she helped me pick out a set of pretty studs and I got my ears pierced!

Then after the kids went to bed we snuggled in bed and watched a movie until we both fell asleep.

The best birthday ever.  :icon_mrhappy:

I went to the mall with my grandma today. I was dressed in boy clothes (Not really out yet) but I was wearing a bit of mascara and I did my hair a bit differently, just because I saw the opportunity to go a little girlier than usual and I didn't have a great night last night. So we went to the apple store to deal with a problem with her phone, I had to run ahead because we were a bit late. I was scanning the store for an employee who wasn't busy, when one who I had passed got my attention by calling out Miss! Miss!. Later on we stopped at chipotle to get some food and they messed up my grandmother's food so I was waiting at the end of the line while she was ordering and the employee called out ma'am, and to my surprise (and happiness!) he was talking to me too!

My favorite part happened in between those two. I went to the bathroom and there was a (seemingly drunk) girl in one of the stalls with a guy who I assume was her bf. She was talking pretty loudly the entire time. One of things she said was something like, "Girls use the guys room all the time". I was at the sink washing my hands when they left. As they walked past me (I was the only one at the sinks) She said "See, I'm not the only one.".

I know it's silly, but they made me happy at the time and even writing this is making me smile. ;D

Got some great news from a good friend about her not loosing her job (she was freaking out all week due to cuts) got some great feedback on these forums, listened to some music and found I had lost 2kg since last time i weighed myself.  Made an awesome dinner that my partner loved.  Really simple things made me smile today and after a horrid week thus far it was good to relax and smile.

Cheers

I'm not full time yet, so when I have the day off I practice my makeup and hair (I'm painfully slow and such a perfectionist I usually don't have the time before class.)

So I managed to do both today and happy with the results, went to Target to pick up a couple things and hit up Starbucks while I was there. I'm fairly regular there. So the girl taking my order recognizes me and is being really nice and all, making chit chat, asking how I've been and what I'm up to,etc., whereas, before in "guy-mode" she never really bothered.

I think she could tell I was a bit nervous being out and dressed, so she went a little out of the way to make me feel comfortable.  :)
When I was born the Dr. saw a penis and said "It's a Boy!" My only regret is that it took me 30+ years to figure out that I'd been lied to.  ;D

I'm almost done with using patches, a week to go until implants for a nice stream of estrogen. That will be so nice. I should have changed long ago.

I have gotten so much done today, I'm not going to get evicted rent is paid, I'm still super excited about next Friday, found $10 on the parking lot ground, and I'm filing taxes in an hour hoping for a big refund. Best Friday 13th ever so far.

Update: just got my taxes done and big refund woohoo! Bills are going to be paid.

Someone gave out a rose to all the lady's at my work site today and left one for me.  Kinda awkward when someone noticed mine in my office., maybe they will think I'm the one who left them :)

Got home to find an early Valentine's day present from the missus. A gigantic card and a vase full of beautiful flowers...in the card, she addressed me as though I were a cis female...I cried. I did. And I feel like crying again just thinking about it...very emotional for me.
To strive to reach the apex of evolution is folly, for to achieve the pinnacle is to birth a god.

When the Stryker fires, all turn to dust in its wake.

Talked to my brother today. We had a long chat and basically he said he accepts me no matter what. Probably going to meet him in vegas when he returns from deployment.

I asked what my dad has been saying, he said all he asks is how I've been. So I guess my dad cares but not enough to talk to me. That's something I guess.

Started testing myself for diabetes with a meter, fasting was 116 mg/dL but I think that was influenced by a hershey's kiss my son brought to my bed this morning. 2 hour post meal is 146 which while not great is ok-ish. I've been diabetic for a few years anyway and keep it controlled.

My wife gave me a hug this morning for valentines :) I love her a lot although the relationship dynamics are changing to being more of really good friends now.

I was window shopping with my friend and someone asked us "How may I help you, ladies?" while looking through a store. That's the first time I've been gendered correctly from any stranger besides a pharmacist who was giving me HRT meds at the time. Both that and hanging out with my friends really made my day. We also went to see Bonnie and Clyde in an independent movie theater later. It was so much better on the big screen. That was the first Valentine's Day I've enjoyed in years, even though I'm still single and my crush doesn't want to date me.

Dancing, I was so stiff before and would have never danced, but today it's just sort of kicked in, listening to music makes me want to dance and so I've started doing so for the first time today. It's pretty amazing how good it feels :D xx

I sometimes, though I'm not in any transition yet, at work have customers call me mam when they don't get a good look at my face. This usually happens when I let my hair grow.

My electrolysis lady closed her office & I've had such a difficult time finding a new lady. However a very nice GF I've known since grammar school knows the large city that I live somewhat nearby. She is going to find me a new salon for hair removal. My GF is so nice, she knows I'm female & helping me with everything to become her complete sister. I'm a happy girl right now.
