Sorry to hear the one you have been using isn't around anymore. I hope your able to find one nearby soon. Have you tried checking with the Electrolysis association for your state/ area to see where the other ones are located at. I'm fortunate enough for the one I'm going to start using when laser is done plus the fact they have another area they have to clear is my area. I thought sure I was going to have to head off to the Yakima or Spokane areas for it.

My electrolysis lady closed her office & I've had such a difficult time finding a new lady. However a very nice GF I've known since grammar school knows the large city that I live somewhat nearby. She is going to find me a new salon for hair removal. My GF is so nice, she knows I'm female & helping me with everything to become her complete sister. I'm a happy girl right now.

Spent the afternoon playing catch football with my two sons (ages 17 and 18). Ever since transition 3+ years ago they've kept their distance and never really accepted either me or my new wife...but today that was all no matter.

They're awesome in how respecting and accepting they are now...later we went out for lunch and then an ice cream.

Both me and wife still have the glow from their interactions with us today.

^-^ <--(me, with happy tears)
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Watched the Documentary Trans, and I am grateful I have an awesome doctor and that I have great friends who accept me.

Woohoo...snowday!! I woke up to a text saying classes had been canceled. Unrelated to that, my legs are still smooth from yesterday. Felt super nice under my warm blanket.  ;D
When I was born the Dr. saw a penis and said "It's a Boy!" My only regret is that it took me 30+ years to figure out that I'd been lied to.  ;D

Laser, you lucky girl! Enjoy all the laser work you can. I so wish when I was in my early 20's that I had completely cleaned my face with laser work. I did remove so much & that was so easy. Now I'm left with some so ugly grey hairs. It is just giving me fits!!! Nothing is more upsetting than ugly facial hairs. Please have a great day GF & good luck your way.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

Thanks. You too GF. I was able to finally get some of the stubborn in growns that laser has killed out finally when shaving yesterday. I can now really see the difference that 5 laser treatments has had on my face. Still I didn't get started soon enough to stop some from having turned on my face either. I don't have a tone that are grey, but enough that Electro will is needed with my face once laser is done.

Good luck GF. I really miss my electro lady. I had been seeing her for a year & a half. She did a great job. We even wore the same size shoes & she gave me a pair of very nice extra boots from her closet last Christmas. Anyway good luck, kill em quick if you can.

Not trying to hijack, but I've done 4 sessions of laser on my face. I've noticed that my upper lip starts showing shadow first and a lot quicker than my cheeks. Just wondering if it's just me or if it's pretty common.

I couldn't answer that because my cheeks were basically bare in the first place, but everywhere that it remains it seems equal to me.

A nice thing happened while I was grocery shopping with my sister.

We ran into her ex-husband, a very macho Venezuelan guy, with whom she still has a good relationship.

I knew him for many years pre-transition, but haven't seen him in quite awhile. A few months ago, Sis had also told him about my transition, but that was it.

So they were saying hello, and he kept glancing over at me. I was thinking, "Oh no, this isn't going to go well."

Well he actually had no idea who I was, and finally smiled at me really nice and said, "And who is this?". Sis kept quiet, i guess to see how I wanted to handle it.

I was tongue tied for a second, and he said "Eveline is that you?" and then gave me a huge hug right in the middle of the checkout aisle.

Made my day...

It's my dancing that makes me happier than anything. One of greatest surprises of my transition has been how much dancing has become a part of my life. It is the joy in my soul, and I let it bubble out of me like champagne. I go to the club about twice a week, but I dance at home almost every day. Last night I came back from the club, and just had to dance a little bit more.

I thought I had lost my electro lady..........however she is fine, had trouble however she will reopen her practice out of her home in 2-3 weeks. Such a relief to continue with facial hair removal. I'm a happy girl.

That is wonderful news GF. I wonder if the rent where she was became an issue and then permitting where she going to do it as a result slowed it down too along with any other preparations.

A friend of mine on facebook PM'd me with "Hey chick". Sometimes it's the little things.

No it's a long story. Everything is fine. Do all the laser work you can, it is so easy compared to the little needle GF. I'm also excited to see my doc in a week for an implant for a nicer more level flow of estrogen. So almost everything is going well for me. I love becomming more of a normal person, a very nice pretty sexy woman. Next a new man I hope. I'm going to take a break from posting so much, for a while. Have fun all GF's.

This'll sound funny but believe me I'm serious. I had a colonoscopy today to confirm that all the gross and painful suffering I have been through this past year was indeed colitis, an inflamatory bowel disease. That's not the good part. One of the things that makes flare ups of colitis much much worse (I have missed weeks of work) is emotional stress. So, basically, the stress of staying in the closet is giving me ulcers that may one day go cancerous. The upside is that it seems that to get healthy I need to keep moving forward with transitioning! The only thing that can save my life is being the woman I was meant to be! Well, that and I can't have dairy...

Also, when I got home from the hospital there were packages awaiting me. I got my first pair of shoes! It reminded me of the time I had to teach my ex girlfriend how to walk in heels.  I'd never had shoes that fit me but I knew how!

Just reviewed my health insurance documents and realized that the restrictions on coverage for treatment of gender identity disorders applies *only* to surgery. I had misread it before and thought it was a much broader exclusion. Obviously it's lousy that they don't cover medically necessary surgeries, but for my current needs this is a huge relief.

This also explains why they've been covering my office visits and medication---I had assumed they'd slipped through or been coded generically, but now I don't have to worry that they're going to fix some mistake.
