I had previous FFS with Dr Ousterhout in 2004. I wasn't happy with the results, I have no sinus cavity so he could only shave the orbital rim and this wasn't good at all, I could barely notice any change plus I was left with major scar tissue on my brow area and asymmetry. Most people in the trans community believe he's a genius, my experience with him was very disappointing and cost me a lot of money for so little.
I had revisions with Dr Zukowski but here again although it looked a little better it wasn't as great as I has expected. On the other hand I had liposuction with him and he's the best there is for that, very aggressive, my body looked like Kloe Kardashian right now, that lasted 2 years only unfortunately, blame it on depression, androcur and having SRS, I started gaining weight again. Extremely happy by the way with SRS done by Dr Suporn.
Then in 2015 I had a free consultation with Dr Di Maggio. He and his wife were awful, he basically thought with no sinus cavity he doesn't want to do anything, he said I looked like a sophisticated transsexual, ok I showed up wearing Saint Laurent dress and a Celine handbag, and his wife told me after I begged for revision that I needed psychologist not a surgeon!
These people don't deserve getting our money. I heard more stories on Di Maggio afterwards, from Amanda who used to work for him but works for Dr Rossi now. She told me Di Maggio and his wife only like and respect trans girls who look good, they hate the others.
So this was it, I had been turned down by Di Maggio. I still wanted to do something and found out there was another ffs surgeon in Buenos Aires. In the mean time I had a consultation with Dr Lee Harisson who did Caitlyn Jenner, he thought my forehead was fine I just needed to have a facelift and a nose job. He isn't a forehead expert so I didn't really care...
I contacted Dr Rossi and his assistant Amanda. Long story short they thought I could really do something. I had surgery last year, we did X Rays 2 days before surgery which concerned me a little. He looked at it and was positive there was something he could do.
All in all, I'm happy with the results considering again I have no sinus cavity. The sides are so much softer than before, the results when it comes to my profile or at an angle are dramatic, very feminine. It's less dramatic from frontal position but it's still better than before.
Overall I'm very happy, Dr Rossi did a good job with my case.
On the negatives, I had liposuction revision while at it. This was like nothing was done. He isn't a liposuction surgeon, I wasted money here with him. If you want great liposuction, go to Dr Zukowski!
The Buenos Aires experience... Amanda is a sweet girl but we didn't connect, she doesn't understand straight trans girls... oh well! I hated the area we are supposed to rent. It's not great, a little depressing. About the hospital now, my issue with these people these don't tell you anything. My surgery was scheduled at 3pm, which I thought was odd but this is a Spanish Latin country, they have dinner at 11pm at night just like in Spain. We took a taxi with no air conditioning to the hospital at 2pm, we got stuck in traffic for an hour, the hospital is located in a far unremarkable suburb, I was really wondering where the hell we are going!
Eventually the hospital was ok, the reason why Dr Rossi is cheaper is because of the hospital which isn't state of the art but again fine.
You have to put everything in perspective sometimes, perhaps the stay in Argentina wasn't like staying at a 5 star hotel in New York or Paris but in the end out of all the surgeons who operated on me and those I had consultation with, Dr Rossi did the best job of them all. Highly recommended for foreheads! Just don't waste your money on anything else!
