Hello there! Hopefully this is the correct place to post about this.

I am interested in testosterone therapy mostly for the sake of deepening my voice. None of the other effects particularly bother me (except for increased clitoris size and possible baldness), and if anything they're wanted as well.

I am a teen, and live with my parents. My mom is supportive of my ideas, but my dad refuses to even talk about the possibility of testosterone therapy, other than in very negative ways.

So, my questions are:

1. Can you get testosterone therapy without seeing a psychological therapist? (the closest gender therapist is an hour away, and I am not fond of therapists)

2. Is it wrong to want to undergo a therapy like this for the sake of a deep voice? I mean, there are other things about it that I would not mind, but I'm mainly interested because I want a more manly voice without having to fake it.

3. Do you need the consent of both parents to undergo hormone therapy?

4. Does anyone know any ways of making my dad a little more open minded about this? He is fine with most things like this (ie. he doesn't care how I dress or what my sexuality is), but for some reason mentioning testosterone therapy makes him enraged.

Um.. I think that's it as far as questions go....
