6 months post op bleeding Dr Suporn Srs

It's been 6 months since my surgery with Dr Suporn and I still bleed from my vagina daily and to be honest it's really dragging me down.

Is this normal? I just want it to be over

Bleeding at 6 months isn't exactly normal,  especially if it's been continual. A visit to a gynecologist won't hurt anything,  you stick something in there everyday for a year so it definitely isn't going to be a problem. For reference I had my primary care physician check me out the day after I got off the plane coming home and an additional check out by a gynecologist at 6 or 7 months. I wouldn't care what any one would advise against if I was still bleeding at 6 month post operative,  I'd get it checked out ASAP,  I agree with Cindy go to a gynecologist.

I'm a little confused here as you already posted a 5 month post-op thread in which you claim everything was fine and you were happy with the result. Now suddenly at 6 months you are bleeding...something must have happened??!! Is there something you did or happened to you that you think may have caused this sudden vaginal bleeding?

I have a few important questions so we can understand a little better what's going on, thank you:


What was your original post-surgery depth and what is your current depth?

Are you bleeding profusely or just a little?

What are the Suporn people saying?

Do you bleed while dilating, having bowel movements, do you wake up with blood in bed?

Have you been sexually active?

You might have extensive granulation inside and it's still healing, no tear inside, just granulation, maybe something happened to cause this and you might have to take it easy and lay down as much as you can for a little while, no straineous physical activities for the time being.

No matter what a few girls who didn't go to Suporn are telling you, if you see a gynecologist, remember tell them NOT to insert speculum until you are one year post-op. Dr Suporn's technique takes a full year for complete healing and final resulat, aesthetic, depth, sensation etc.

You are talking about both bleeding and tiredness -- Have you had your blood cell count checked recently? I agree with Calico that a speculum is no worse than your dilator which you use pretty darn often.

I'm a lil confused by why a dilator is fine and a speculum isn't.   Speculum don't go but 4 inches in much less than a dilator,  they are even smaller in circumference.  I have heard of Suporn's rigorous dilation regimine and  just can't wrap my head around how a Dr who will most like be very careful would be worse than Suporn's  "dynamic dilation" .   If the bleeding is significant there could be a real chance of a rip inside which cold become serious if not taken care of.  Which without looking "I. E.  With a speculum"  you might never know and well things could go bad very quickly.
I would ask Suporn why you can't go to  a gynecologist and why the use of a speculum is so bad.

Strange because Suporns site shows images of the inside of the vaginal cavity using a speculum at 4 weeks. It's the only way that he would be able to check the healing of the scrotal graft. Therefore the use of a speculum by a fully qualified medical professional within the first year must be perfectly acceptable. In fact a friend of mine with similar problems to mythaisrs visted a Uk surgeon a few months after surgery with the full blessing of Suporns team (you wouldnt expect a patient to travel half way around the world for a simple examination). I think that the likely problem is granulation tissue (it's quite a common problem) which can be treated easily with silver nitrate. In any event go to see your doctor. I really dont think that your vagina is likely to prolapse at this stage.

But since I didn't go to Suporn, I guess I have no useful suggestions. Realistically, your only choices are to ignore it, contact Suporn, or go see another doctor, anyway...

Suporn girls can go to a gynecologist but they cannot insert a speculum until one year post-op. Suporn is just afraid the action of removing the speculum might induce granulation, that's all.
Bear in mind, Dr Suporn's technique is very specific, it's a 6 hour long surgery as opposed to 2hr30 for most other surgeons with outdated inversion techniques, he's the depth master, he achieves more depth definition than any other surgeons in the world. The healing process and full end result takes a whole year with Suporn.

I'm almost 8 months post-op, I have an amazing sex life, I have 7.25" depth, no bleeding.

Now, we all know there are irresponsible people who are not going to dilate like they're supposed to and one day hurt themselves and then complain they lost all depth with bleeding because they hurt themselves after not dilating as requested.

I'm very perplexed at reading this bizarre story, something just doesn't add up here when last month everything was fine according to this individual and now all of a sudden they experience bleeding and loss of all depth.

Girls who are serious and dilate everyday as requested do not have any problems with Suporn.

I am more and more convinced that the good doctor did me a huge favor when he rejected me as a potential patient three years ago.  I am put in mind of "trade secrets" being divulged or discovered if another doctor goes snooping with acceptable medical care and caution.

interesting information, I had surgery with Chettawut and my surgery was 8-8.5 hours , Chettawut's and Suporns techniques are very similier in that they are a non inversion surgery, with both dilation regimen being slightly different but longer from what I understand than the rest of the world (3 times daily or a total 2.0 hours daily for 1-2 years), I just find it intriguing to not being able to get a check up, something Chettawut never had an issue with and I have 0 issues with sensitivity, this was even with my questionable health conditions. I actually remember having 3 speculum inspections before I left Thailand so, I don't get it but hey to each their own doctor, I'd just be super afraid of bleeding out if it hadn't quit by now, maybe it is just granulation tissue, but without a proper check up its all just a roll of the dice. 
With the way it sound at the moment with losing all depth, I would be concerned of the neovagina collapsing and starting to close/heal up.

And here I thought gynocologists were doctors of vaginas and there job was to make sure it is healthy, at least the impression I got from my visit.

I don't understand why someone would ask for help and then get on an attitude horse over nice answers??? And yeah, I'm not a rocket scientist and I can also say constant bleeding for 6 months is not okay even if it's from a pinky, you need to get checked out . Xx best wishes x

Maybe you should stop telling people what they should know and start listening to what they tell you. You are given good advice but you ignore it and you wonder why you are not getting better?

Get to a gyno and get checked out. Better still, make an appointment and get your gyno to refer you Belliringer or Thomas for revision surgery. The longer you leave this the worse it will get.

Get help. If the bleeding is as bad as you say on your blog then get down to A&E today.

Teeg : To be fair to the OP, vaginal bleeding *is* normal at first, since it's all healing up in there and sometimes there's even trapped blood that comes out a while later. Most surgeons' info says something along those lines. But I was also given specific instructions about how much and how long was normal - that if I soaked a full pad in an hour or was still bleeding at three months, I should seek help - which it appears Suporn may not have done.

(And of course it's normal for cis women. )

I did actually go to my GP for a speculum exam at three months and to a gynecologist several months after that, and in both cases the *lighted* speculum could determine a lot more about what was going on in there. (Both were checkups, not because of problems, but I assume that both would have found any problems if there were any lurking that I couldn't see or sense.)

As a Suporn girl who experienced bleeding post op, i can say that in my case, it was a small amount of blood that appeared after some sort of exertion (long walking, etc) and was due to granulation... I had it taken care of when i went back for a free revision, but understand it could have been taken care of by a regular gynos pretty easily. In terms of speculum, suporn uses a special little plastic speculum the kind i've never seen outside his clinic before.... it's only about a centimeter in diameter and does not open or close... that's what i remember, at any rate...

Can't understand why you would be posting your concerns on a forum rather than consulting Dr Suporn or another medical doctor. After spending so much money on your SRS, I would be contacting Suporn until I got a satisfactory answer. We are not physicians. DIY hormones are risky and so is a DIY diagnosis of this sort of issue.
