It took me ages to start passing even a tiny bit, but over the past month or so I've noticed that people tend to call me 'buddy' or 'mate' automatically and I haven't been called 'madam' for quite some time now. Which is absolutely brilliant. :)

But the best example of this happened two weeks ago: I had to use public transportation to see my top surgeon for my post-op review, and as I got off the final bus on my way home I thanked the driver... and he responded with the customary local male-to-male greeting of 'cheers mate!'. To have him say that on that specific day, immediately after I'd been medically cleared following top surgery, was wonderfully affirming and I walked home with a huge grin on my face.

The guy I sit next to at work has become one of my favourite people in the world because he just seems to get me. I'm not out at work or anything, they still think I'm a chick, but his guy always calls me 'man' or 'bro' and jokes around with me without worrying about offending me. Really makes me feel like one of the guys.

My other moment yesterday was when our washing machine stopped working and I decided to fix it myself. I had to move our drier out of the laundry and pull the machine out to check the pipes at the back. I couldn't have moved everything by myself 6 months ago, but I've been working out to try and put some muscle on my arms/shoulders. It was good to see that it's starting to pay off.

And I agree to that, or in so far
As that I can see no way out but through

I was helping set up an art show at the elementary school and the art teachers daughter asked my sister "Are you his Sister" while pointing to me. She saw me as a guy. I seem to pass most with the little kids.

I'm not the most buff manly guy, but its always great when someone (always female) asks me to help them lift or carry something.

Has anyone had one of those moments where you're like: "damn, it feels good to be a guy!" or moments where you just feel like you fit in with the boys?

I'm still pre-transition but I have had moments after coming out that made me feel great, which one of them was getting a pack of boxer briefs for the first time and lounging out and sleeping in my boxers. It just felt good.  ;D

Haha, same about the first time I ever bought a pack of boxer briefs. For some reason its buying underwear or similar things that can make me feel really good sometimes lol

About a month ago, I was at church and I was talking to two of my Sunday School students.  We were in the kitchen and the door to the outside was open and a wasp came in.  The girls got scared and quickly moved away while it flew next to my head, yet I didn't flinch.  One of the girls just looked at me for a moment and was like "can I ask you something?"  I said yes and she basically asked how did I not move when the wasp came near me and the other girl turned to her and said "because she has no fear"

While that statement isn't true, it still made me feel all manly.

My manly moment is probably of a slightly different nature.  Many years before I transitioned I was in a strange place where I was trying to be semi feminine (I say semi because I was shaving my head and trying to get into powerlifting) and I was out with some friends. I was wearing a mini skirt and fishnets. One of my friends was walking behind me and she observed me for a bit and said, "You look like a man in a skirt. The way you walk seems very dude-like." That's probably the manliest I have ever felt haha. Like I could be wearing whatever and my manliness would still show through.

Now I don't notice my manly moments as much.

And now I also have a strange compulsion to go to a thrift store and get a miniskirt to show off my amazing quadriceps.

I've had a few good moments so far. Also bought my self some boxer briefs and I love walking around the house in them. Also love when I use my stp and just slip it out the fly.
Also been getting mistaken for my husband if someone calls the cellphone for him. It's really awesome.
I've been lifting weights as well more recently and noticed I've got a ton more pulling power now in my upper body. I'll carry in all the groceries, or pick up and play with my kids more ect. Which before hand I had some pretty weak upper arm strength so seeing that change is great.
I run a FtM blog where I pour my experiences out for others to read. Check it out!

Quote from: BeefxCakethe cashier was a guy and i walked up, ( i've been on T for one month, my voice hasn't really done anything. but it ca sound more masculine.) but i just noticed how casual and calm the guy was. saying, what can i get for ya man?

and just being happy to serve me as a guy and not having to put on the polite oh it's a woman front. it felt awesome. even if subtle.
Yeah, this. I'm at the point where people read me as male a lot more, and they've mostly stopped "correcting" themselves.

I'm a loyal customer at one gas station where the clerk always calls me "sir." Fortunately, it's also the cheapest place around, because I looove going there. :P

Ah cool! I always forget GameStop has other stuff besides games. I used to have a set of fuzzy dice with PacMan and the ghosts from there.
