I learned that I, myself was the cause of and the answer to much of my mean nasty ugly thinking.

The life experience I've had, I would not trade for anything. I have learned a lot and have an open mind.

Having the body of a 20 year old woman at 41! No seriously...I wish I had been born with all the right bits from the start....but at least this way I haven't had decades of gravity yanking on me already....everything is new and shiny!!

I have to agree with you. My Endo says I'm in better shape than most of his younger patients half my age. My boobs look like those of a 15 year old instead of a 49 year old woman! Like you say -no gravity damage, lol!!

The multitude of fashion choices for women is a good and bad thing.  Women typically have much nicer clothes too.

Belonging to a group of wonderfully minded, accepting people. For me personally it's kind of wierd but I can see things from both male and female perspectives and can actually understand those perpectives. It has also made me way more open minded than I may have been otherwise.

I wanted to say the understanding of the world, however I don't feel it complitely good.
its a good ability to understand the world and you better but it also makes you fell rather lonely.

I think the best thing maybe more be that it easy to deal with others.
I had a couple of people who know im trans, and because they know my struggle it somehow make it
more easy for them to be themself and deal with there own stuggles.

Another great thing, at least to me that is, about being trans is you get to find out who your true friends are. A true friend will stick by you. A false friend will steer clear of you like the plague. I've actually found this to be very useful in my life lately. It's allowed me to flush out some human trash!, lol!!

An amazingly satisfying cognitive dissidence.

And connecting with other trans* types.

Definitely the clothes, and the journey. Anxious to get started. Of course the people who support me, here and in the physical world. I just love being myself, and I have a huge confidence boost when I go out as Chelsea, so I don't care what looks I get or what people think.

The first thing that came to mind for me is that I have experience both as a male and a female in society. I think that gives us some really incredible perspective that most cis peeps just don't have the opportunity to see.

But I also totally agree with Allyda. Having a filter for ->-bleeped-<-ty people is really helpful. :)
