Best thing about being Transgender?

Well I made the "it" question topic to help turn something hurtful into something humorous. Unfortunately it got turned into a topic where everyone was angry or depressed. So this time I will try something less likely to be made into something depressing. To anyone out there from the cisgender to the androgynous, to the FtM or MtF, or anything in between or around or above...whatever...What is the best thing about being transgender? (In this case any gender that isn't cisgender.) I think he support forum could use more cheerfulness. So please, no depressing or angry talk. It just drags the mood down in the topic. ^~^ Feel free to include any non depressing-angery stories or facts. Anything that isn't going to drag the topic into depression.

I think my favorite thing is that we can be so much more accepting than the general population. We don't seem to have the people who freak out and bash a guy just for wearing non silver-gold-black ball studs.
Using a stupid, definately not smart, phone, so please forgive any typos or grammar errors.

Is a huge bonus.

But the best thing by far, is knowing that the people intrested in me are intrested in me.
All the trans related questions. And with every convo im left with this feeling ive done somthing that will ultimatelly make a next gen trans persons life less depressing. I dont know what causes dysphoria but i know what causes the missery along side it.

Getting compliments on my skirts and dresses, whether from people I know or from strangers on the street.  Especially when it's from a woman (which it mostly is.)

Also: getting thumbs-ups from people for what I wear; my impression it's for my willingness to be myself.  It's mostly from younger people (teens and 20's), but both men and women.  There's hope yet!

Notes:

1.  I'm obviously male-bodied, so wearing skirts and dresses &c. is visibly gender-variant.
2.  I make most of my skirts and dresses, and I'm proud of my work (which deadly sin was that again?)
3.  I'm (so far) a confirmed gynophile.

But the best thing by far, is knowing that the people interested in me are interested in me.
(Emphasis mine.)

Good point.

For me, it's the feeling that I am being more like myself and less a role specified by someone else -- and seeing just how many people accept me that way.  Maybe I can show even more of my True Selftm and get away with it!  (Of course, I'd have to find more of my True Selftm first....)

I get to be me and let my personality completely shine through even in please where I'm not out yet. Not caring what a single person thinks about it or me

The great clothes I get to wear.  Female clothes are beautiful and I love them.  Men's clothes are just utilitarian for the most part.  Yuk!

I'll admit, I consider it like a super power. it's a curse, but you're also capable of so much.

More of a FTM than broad trans thing but.... Imagine what all women want: a guy who understand what it's like to be a woman and how to properly please a woman in bed. This is now my super power! LOL!

Where do I start? I'm finally free, and living as me. I love my summer dresses, my other colorful all woman's wardrobe. My earrings, bracelets and necklaces -other accessories. But the best thing is I can wear pretty things. I can wear my jewelry. I'm very feminine and I just loooooove being feminine. Being seen on the outside for who I've always been on the inside -being seen as me finally after all these years is absolutely the best feeling in the world!

My 2nd best is this website and meeting all of you beautiful ladies and gents. You all are my superpower!, and Susan's is my base camp. I wouldn't be where I am now, headed for a wonderful future without you. You all are special, but there are a few extra special ladies who literally gave me a second chance at life. You girls know who you are so I need not mention names. I thank all of you with everything that I am.

Big hugs to you all! :icon_hug: :icon_hug: :icon_hug:

Best Wishes!

Totally the people here and in my community.

Also would have to be finally feeling free. I don't care if I'm classified really as a minority, weird, freak, whatever. All that can fly out the window now because I'm finally living like I should of been.
I run a FtM blog where I pour my experiences out for others to read. Check it out!

I have a trio of amazing friends who are cis of the gender I'd like to join, and seeing just how supportive they're really capable of being. I have felt so taken care of, so encouraged... so pretty. I have much feels.

I enjoy meeting people here like me; I am not alone.

Also, it is so freeing not to have self hate and enjoy those thing that are gentle and delicate without guilt.

I like being nice to people and how that's easier from having experienced being treated like a woman. :)
