Wigs & Helmets

So the weather has been unseasonably lovely in the beautiful Pacific Northwest lately and as such I have been riding the Vespa pretty frequently. This got me thinking, with my quite significant hair loss wearing a wig is pretty much something I will have to live with. So the question is, can wigs and helmets get along? Anything I should keep in mind when shopping for wig with this as a consideration?

Why not use bobby pins to hold a wig down in areas that will be covered by a helmet?

I should clarify, I have zero experience with wigs at this point, just what I have read. I haven't seen anything regarding wearing a helmet and just wasn't sure if it would be problematic. The plan is to maintain a shaved head with a taped wig. I think I am currently at the point where I am trying to think of every reason why I can't transition....

A taped wig shouldn't move if the helmet is tight. But I'll just say, you want a really good wig. Most people can tell when you're wearing a wig if it's cheap. And those really good wigs aren't wigs you're gonna want to put under a helmet....

I'm new to this wig thing myself, but I've seen on youtube video tutorials where some lady that was suffering from female alopecia actually used some sort of specialty glue for scalps/wigs, and it worked wonders.  She sports a shaved head, and says the glue is able to stay on for up to a week!

I can't speak from experience, but I suspect with a bit of practice you teach yourself to remove the helmet without removing the wig. I would practice in front of a mirror a lot. But I think simply holding your hand against the side of your hair/wig below the edge of the helmet when lifting the helmet up a bit at a time would work. You might need to go back and forth doing that on the two sides a time or so.
