So I got my Bloodwork back

So I got a call from my doctor this morning and the tests from my blood work came back. She told me that my Estrogen levels and my Progesterone Levels are normal, but that my Testosterone levels are high. She put me on some new medicine to block the it, I forget the name of it, I think it was Cyprotim or something like that maybe it was Finastride , not sure. Even with the Spiralactene I was taking it was still high. Not sure why this is.

Hi Jessika,

Glad you got your results back and that your E and P levels are normal.  I guess Spiro didn't really work well for you, but I wish you luck on your new T blocker!

What is normal? Estradiol (and progesterone) levels constantly fluctuate in genetic women and so there isn't even a "normal" for them. They can be very low just as they can be quite high, all within the same month. Did you ask your doctor what they meant by normal?

You were taking spironolactone. She probably added cyproterone acetate. And the other is finasteride which reduces conversion of T to DHT.

also she put me on Finasteride
