Bra size help needed!

I'm trying to figure out my bra size, and since I am boobless (for now) I know to aim for A cups, but I don't know (I think the term is) band size, and don't have a measuring tape for this nor a way to get one, Any ideas/help?

Hey, gorgeous. If you are in the US and completely boobless you won't be looking for A cups but AAA or AA (unless you plan on stuffing). Anything bigger than AAA or AA will likely give you a mostly empty cup that may collapse or crease under clothing giving you a very unnatural look. If you want something in the A or even B range I suggest getting something well padded with underwire, probably a push up.

As for your band size it will be the measurement of your body under your bust or under your pecs for you. You will need a measuring tape for this. You could get one for like $2 at Walmart or maybe ask around and borrow one from a friend, relative, neighbor. If you're worried about telling them why you need it just make something up.

Ok, then make one.  Cut strips vertically from a sheet of paper.  Use a ruler to mark inches.  Tape ends together.  Use that.  One sheet of paper (8.5x11) can make a 88" measuring tape. You'll probably only need 3 or 4 strips (up to 44").

Many online bra dealers include directions for measuring yourself for a bra-- though that's no guarantee you'll get your best size. For American sizes, it's typically to measure around your chest under your breast area, then add 5 to that number. The first time I did it I came up with 34, so I ordered a 34A from Victoria's Secrets. It was too small. The next bra I bought was a 36A and the band was about right. It did require pads or forms to fill out the cups, though. I didn't have any extra flab on my chest, so even an AA cup left the cups empty. I did buy a couple of bralettes that fit me fairly well without any insert. A bralette is a sort of simpler version of a bra, without underwiring and usually made of stretchy material.
