I was out yesterday in one of my favorite above the knee dresses to go to therapy. after therapy I went to the theater which is across the street from the therapist office and saw Maelficent  which I was surprised it was a well done movie. I got out of the theater and went to a coffee place a couple blocks away. As I was entering the door I heard a familiar voice call my name behind me. Well , I'm not officially out to people I know . I have my proper clothes on most of the time and there are coffee place's  and restaurants  I go to , but I've been avoiding this one coffee place because the main people I know all work or hang out there. I was a little stunned and ignored the person and just went in. today I just wore a pair of skinny jeans a nice blouse and jacket. All female but , but not as bold as a dress. I was sitting in the coffee place I've been avoiding when wearing a dress and the couple who saw me as my true true  self came in and said Hi and mentioned they had seen me ,but didn't mention my being in a dress. A very pleasant surprise of acceptance.

Congratulations!

I have not had the guts to go much of anywhere beyond therapy presenting female.  You took several steps beyond, and even went to the coffee shop where people might know you.  That is a huge step.  Good on your friends that they were accepting.

Wonderful news!

If I were out as Erin and somebody called out my male name I would be something beyond freaked - mortified maybe?  Good on you, and your friends, for making that work out smoothly.
