Difficult and Defining Week Ahead

Well, after two years and four months, I go full time tomorrow.  My FFS has healed enough that I pass visually and the rest I am good on.  Thursday morning at 9:15 is my court appointment for my name change.  I start work again as Jennifer one week from tomorrow, which closes the week out.  It's been so long but I will finally be me.

Wishing you all the very best Jenny and not too sure why you see at as a difficult week?  It looks like and you have all the boxes ticked and I'm actually a little jealous of all you guys who can get your name and gender markers changed so easily. If you want difficult, try France.

In spite of getting a green light from the public prosecutor last November, I'm still stuck in limbo 8 months after filing for my own civil identity change with zero visibility on when the court will make a final decision. Since the date hasn't been set, there is now no chance that it will happen before the autumn which means that I can't hope to have my papers in order  before 1Q2015 at the very earliest ie. more than 18 months after filing for the change. This is 21st century France, the land of human rights and Liberty Equality & Fraternity  :( 

Anyway, I don't want to put a damper on your red letter week and again wish you a very happy return to work as Jennifer !

That's great news, Jen! I must have missed your recent batch of pics but I gather that's you in your avatar and I just gotta say wow!

I really hope your workplace treats you with all due respect.  You are one impressive woman! :)

I feel you pain though your posts at the injustice you have born throughout your transition.  I wish so much that it would be going smoother for you.  But I also feel your strength: a strength and determination unique to a woman.
