Found this kind of therapeutic. I mean, often times we go out there and feel like people are against us. But there are kind people as well.

There's other clips from this show regarding race, class, young, old, sexuality, disabilities, autism, weight issues, etc. If you're different (especially visibly so), sometimes you're afraid the world is against you and judging you. But there are good people out there.

Crying happy tears now. Thanks for the video FA! See everyone, there is hope and support out there. After a rude comment you may never know how many people might have corrected them when you have left.  :)

I like how the last guy doesn't even react to finding out she's trans. I hope one day that can be the norm and that it's becomes a total non-issue.

Oh, yeah and I love how he was about to leave, but decided to stay not to leave her alone with this guy.

That was wonderful! Those two dudes were so cool to come to Carmen's rescue. I'll have to remember to show my mom this video later. I think she'll get a kick out of it. But does go to show, people are changing for the better.

I really liked seeing the peoples reaction to the jerk, and how they rallied around Carmen to keep her safe. Hopefully some day that will be the reaction from everyone to a random bigot spouting off.

That guy at the counter was a schmuck. He's lucky that there wasn't someone there that would have taken him outside and kicked his ass. I know it's a TV show but if this wasn't filmed, he could have ended up in that situation. He would have deserved it too. Anyone that is a bigot deserves such treatment.

Awesome!  So reassuring.  The next time i am losing faith in people, I am going to watch this.  Thanks for posting!

That guy at the counter was an actor. He doesn't actually have that opinion in real life.

So, it's a set-up?

Doesn't that call the whole thing into question?

Everyone in the scene could have been an actor for all we know.

I haven't watched TV since 2006 (other than DVD's) and I don't watch TV online.

The other customers weren't actors, just the manager, the jerk, and the waitress (even though she is really trans).

Of course it was set up. They explained the whole thing along with introducing the three actors at the beginning.

Oh well. I was watching something on TV at the time when I watched the clip here. So, I wasn't paying close attention until it got going.

Meh....whatever.

I never seem to be able to watch a wwyd without crying.  Some for  good,  some for bad.  Did you see the one about a girl who wants to be spiderman and Halloween and a boy who wants to be a princess? The responses of people kinda some up being trans as a child in about 1 minute. It broke my heart watching that.  Again.

As much as I complain about NJ, I have to say transitioning here has been easier than it would have been in other places I've lived. (Knoxville, TN and Charlotte, NC to name a few.) From people being very accepting to discrimination laws state wide I feel pretty fortunate.

That diner in the show is down the street from my uncles office about 10 minutes from my house. I haven't eaten there, but my uncle tells me it's pretty good. (As far as diner's go.)
