Virtual FFS- The good and the bad

Hey there,

I wanted to share some virtual FFS pics I've had:

On these, work was done on the forehead, chin and Adam's Apple. I find the 3/4 view allright, however the frontal view seems kind of unnatural to me for some reason. I showed it to a couple gals who have helped me all along with this and they agreed. Why is it strange? Well for once I don't like the high, arched eyebrows at all, the girls in my family, and some of them look really similar to me, have way thicker and straighter eyebrows than those in the VFFS, so that's one thing. One of the gals pointed out that the work done on the photo looked like an European/Caucasian phenotype, and that this wouldn't do for me as am Latinoamerican. I don't know though, I just find the frontal view weird. Maybe the just out of bed look doesn't help either, but still.

When I was 16 I was one full year out, all passable and cute, so I thought I shouldn't have too many problems with the FFS 8 years later. But the frontal view seems to disagree with me. Any thoughts?

It amazes me how changing a mere detail can alter the face so much. You don't need much work at all, this virtual ffs is amazing!!

WOW!

Hun you look great, you have really good cheek bones (jealous) 😮 and very delicate nose. The brows, well for me they are a little low , I have gone for the full Gothic Vampire look, so mine are very high arched however they do open up your eyes, with the right eye shadow and liner and maybe some volume mascara they would look amazing. Your hair appears to be long, get some wispy bangs and get it styled to frame your face. At the and at the end of it all Virtual FFS is really only a guess, an educated one, but still a guess!

Sorry hun, but you have very little to be concerned about. HRT will soften to a degree and with the FFS suggested you will be fighting the guys off with a big stick!!

Thanks for the kind comments ^^. Regarding the eyebrows, I think it depends a lot on each individual, as I was saying before, the girls in my family who look a lot like me have way lower and thicker eyebrows than the VFFS and they look just fine . Some other gals I guess like you have way higher and thinner eyebrows and also look fine, I think it depends a lot on each individual case and the morphology of the face.

Those photos were from a few months ago, my hair keeps growing and growing . Right now as am not full-time out, am trying to find a cool, androgynous hairstyle. I am in a very, ultraconservative city where you can even find groups of extremely retarded, violent Skinheads in some places, so I want to remain discrete for the time being, cannot just go with a totally girly haircut, so any particular suggestions or pics as to how to style it would be very welcome. It has been quite the struggle to find the proper style for it.

I would say let HRT work for a year for you and see how you feel, because you already seem to look great pre-ffs feature wise...

Oh and the VFFS result looks great to me, too- I think you could get very close to that without any surgery at all. Hey it's worth a try right?

One more thing- the hair you have will suit you either male or female, you could just keep growing it. I had a similar thing early on and had my stylist slowly add layers as time went on. He was the 2nd person I came out to!

Well clearly I will wait a full year before taking any final decision, but I guess chin and brow work will be helpful, we shall see.

Regarding hair, that's just the waking up in the morning shape, it's kinda messy and not very femenine. I would like to find something more femenine but that I could also try without fearing for myself. Maybe something like this:


Any suggestions are welcome.

Your male features are not particularly scary, so once the facial hair goes you may hardly need any retouching (she says, 6 weeks away from FFS herself!)  From what I see, you really only need a bit of work on your brow bossing and adams apple!

Regarding your eyebrows, while they have been slightly repositioned in the "after" photos, if you were to reshape them now they'd probably be very very acceptable.

+10000 Does anyone else think that at least 1-year of HRT should be mandatory before considering FFS?

I think virtual FFS of any sort - be it 3D manipulation, photoshopping or makeup simulations prior to HRT might put you at risk for disappointment.

You have NO IDEA how your body is going to deposit fat and other tissues around and onto any work that is being done prior to HRT. You could possibly end up with bigger and puffier cheeks than expected (like being botoxed) or a much different jaw line than what has been simulated.

Thanks , I knoooow I should wait for at least one full year, but I cannot help and check possibilities, request for prices, and so on, in order to plan ahead, it's a big step to be thought of in advance. I understand that it's all subject to change, but I'll have an idea of the things I will need!

And yeah, I do hope for way puffier cheeks, gals in my family have nice, puffy cheeks and in those pics I was rather thin (140lb for 5'9), I've always been able to easily go up or down 20 pounds in less than a month, so I think I'll gain some extra weight, eat a lot more and do some more exercice to keep the weight up n a healthy way when I start HRT.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with creating a plan / agenda

As far as gaining weight, I would say hold off until you've been on estrogen for a while... maybe like 7 or 8 months at least. The last thing you would want is male-pattern weight gain. If you wait a little while on HRT you can almost be sure it will go to different places. I've kind of yo-yo'd over the course of my transition.. starting at the skinniest I've ever been, then going up 10 and hovering for a while, then at 6 months bouncing net 20 up, then at 9 months coming back down to original weight, and then recently being about 5lbs over where I started. Now everything indeed is really going to the right places and I want to keep that little bit of extra! But when I gained weight around month 6 it still went to very male-pattern places, and I am on a very aggressive dose of estrogen. Anyway that is just my experience, if that helps at all.

Gawd, that's stunning! I continued checking the following pages and damn I can't believe it!! That's just incredible O_o ! Gotta catch my breath... If I can get a remotely similar effect I'd be incredibly happy.
