As some of you know, I have Albinism. I am legally blind since birth and have quite a few eye problems.
As have lately, my eyes are changing in ways I never thought would happen.
1. Nystagmus
This causes my eyes to shift from side to side uncontrollably. While the surgery to "fix" it was offered to my mom, thankfully she passed. It seems to have subsided quite a bit, and it seems like I have more control of my eyes.
2. Photophobia
One of the fun side effects of Albinism, is the lack of Pigmentation. As such, my irises while having color, are transparent. The white part of my eye is semitransparent. Lately, places that use to bug my eyes don't anymore. Black lights use to bug the hell out of my eyes but now they don't bug me.
Also it seems that my irises are atrophied. They are not moving anymore.
My night vision has changed a bit, but I'm still trying to figure out how.
3. Vision
I am legally blind with and without glasses. With my glasses my vision is 20/200, so if your 20/20, what you see at 200 feet, I would see exactly what your seeing at 20 feet.
At work, I've been able to function without my glasses for a month and a half.
So these are the things I've noticed so far. I am trying to find anyone who has Albinism and a transsexual, but considering how rare Albinism is (1:17,000 births), I haven't found anyone.
It's rather important to me because I'm have no clue what to expect in the future, and the changes that I'm going through are not part of the normal transitional process.
Unfortunately for me, there's only about 18,000 of us in the US.
