I am recovering from FFS.  I look all the time.  I'm watching myself heal and actualy get better looking....

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

I could probably lose an eyebrow and not notice for three days...

Because I work in an environment that frowns on diversity, I refuse to have my hair neat and tidy like the rest of the clones. I try to strike a balence between long and short hair, so I constantly preen myself as much as possible, even in door windows or vending machine reflections.

I also practice my adorable duckface as mych as possible. Hell, I've come a long way!  :-*
"There was a sculptor, and he found this stone, a special stone. He dragged it home and he worked on it for months, until he finally finished. When he was ready he showed it to his friends and they said he had created a great statue. And the sculptor said he hadn't created anything, the statue was always there, he just cleared away the small peices." Rambo III

Well if it's any consolation, I do like to blow little kisses to myself in the mirror every once in awhile. Tell myself little jokes. Maybe a pep talk. ;D

Actually I never understood duck faces, what's up with that in selfies?

It depends if I'm going out or whatnot. But after 15 months HRT I stopped looking for changes, though Ive prolly changed more recently than ever. There comes a point where the obsessiveness of it all fades, and you just go with it. Once I get laser, Ill look even less, since ill need less makeup. I've come to a peace with what i look like, as I used to say ugly. But now I think not so much.

Many times! I am very passable but it's only because I'm always striving to be "perfect". Every chance I get I look in the mirror and fix my hair. People close to me tell me that it gives me away because I am always playing with my hair. I am trying to work on that.

i swear, mirrors are evil!

Naah they ain't *looks at mirror some time later during the day* damn it shes right!
I don't know I just feel good when I see how I am now, but its worse on dates tho I keep using my compact to check if my hair is in a mess or if my makeup is running or something, and my boyfie is sitting there staring at me the for the past few times I did it, so I put it back in my handbag or whatever im carrying and he rummages through it, grabs my compact and flings it really really far away, and I say 'what the heck was that for?' and he goes: 'meh beautiful girls like you don't need a compact' emagerd! He is just too sweet! But still.. mirrors... they are evil.. I think they know something..
Never fear shadows. They simply mean there's a light shining somewhere nearby.

Constantly. Even when I'm out I always have a compact. I was on a date the other day and I kept doing that (not even realizing) and then I set it down and he grabbed it and he was like "you look beautiful, now enough looking!"

I think it's mostly cuz I like to keep hair/makeup in place. I don't look in the mirror if I'm nt wearing makeup and my hairs mussy D;

I just love the girly girl aspects you two have going on here. Totally awesome you perfectionists!  :-*

I voted 10 to 20 a day. Though honestly I look at my face every time I can find a reflection. I use to dread to see myself and now... I cant get enough of seeing the changes

I used to hate hate hate mirrors, but now that my hair has gotten much longer I find myself looking in the mirror much more often, it's a small step towards acceptance :)

Well, does it say smth about me that I have mirror apps both in phone and tablet? :).  People would never have any idea if You are browsing boards, checking emails or SMS :). Being very active cyclist, I use every opportunity to check if my hair needs to fixed (wind, dust, loosing bobbypins :) etc etc etc).

I hate it when SCP-1471-A keeps on popping up in my reflection (creepy picture warning).

On a more serious note, I'm slightly vain but I will never look in a mirror in low light.  I want to get a body length one when I move out, but I plan to put it away behind a wardrobe when I go to bed.

Seriously, is that affecting ppls computers? I just looked, read and wondered where on earth people find these things.....
On another note I look only when I'm walking down the street in my reflection, apon walking into shops, reflections in the window at my "GIRLS" and how well they're developing...

I look at the mirror in fear and then I'm usually like, ok, I look ok, phew!   Then a little while later I'll think, do I still look ok, though?   The cycle continues...

Since the beginning of puberty until like last October I evaded mirrors like a vampire. I couldn't withstand the look at someone I believed is not me.

Then there was a transitional period of when I started to practice the usual hair combing, a bit of make-up (really a bit as being semi-blind I didn't want to cause more damage since I can't really see my right cheek in the mirror).

Now I look into a mirror so many times. So I guess 20-30 perhaps? I don't really count. But I always have to smile  as finally I see myself. I hope it's not just thanks to the fact my sight is really bad :-) .
Semi-blind asperger transwoman. But do I care? No I don't. I love myself :-) .
