The video is politically motivated to promote government mandated paid leave. Most people I know that work for bigger companies get paid vacations, paid sick leave, paid maternity leave, some have in-house daycare for working mothers, and then also paid national holidays, profit sharing plans and 401-K plans for those wishing to participate in addition to the company's standard retirement plan. These are perks that some companies have that value their employees and want them to be happy and productive. My local UPS guy has five weeks paid vacation per year, medical, dental and optical benefits. Half of the working age adults in the US either don't care to work or are unemployed due to a -2% current rate of job growth. So the video is erroneous on a number of levels.
I ascribe to the biblical concept, "If you don't work, you don't eat!" Was always a self starter and worked as an independent contractor for three different companies simultaneously, that's why as a retiree I can have a comfortable 6K per month income and not be dependent on someone else to provide for me. The former strength of America is built on it's people's work ethic.
